We actually ended up here by necessity, not choice, but next time it will be on purpose!

. It was Easter Sunday and we had planned to go to a different Chinese restaurant, But upon arriving, we found it was closed.

By googling nearby Chinese restaurants, we found Chuy’s. I called and they were open, so we headed over.

We did not know what to expect and agreed that if we didn’t like the atmosphere or whatever we’d get takeout, or home and order a pizza.

As it turned out though, we were very pleasantly surprised.

The place was not crowded at all, being a holiday Sunday. It was clean. Service was prompt and friendly. The food came quickly. It was hot and delicious. In my ratings, I gave atmosphere of four instead of a five because there’s really not any atmosphere. It’s just a big space with tables and chairs. No real ambience or decor, but it was fine.

We had the Mongolian beef, the breaded almond chicken, and the General Tso’s chicken. We each had an eggroll and those were very good also. There was plenty of white rice to go with each of our dishes. We also tried the Crab Rangoon and although it was yummy, there wasn’t a lot of filling in it, but it was hot and crispy and what filling was there was very good. Everybody loved their food and we agreed that we would return another time.

Another nice bonus was without even asking they bring a pot of tea and a cup for everyone at the table upon sitting down. I didn’t actually look at the bill to confirm, but I have to believe that since they bring it without you asking.

Whether you’re going for dine in, or take out, I think that you will be satisfied and pleasantly surprised with the experience at Chuy’s.

Spotless, Delicious, and Named After the Cutest Little Boss!

I had the beef and broccoli lunch special with a Coke in a bottle, and let me tell you — this place is a hidden gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The beef was tender, the broccoli perfectly crisp, and the sauce had that rich, comforting flavor I crave in a good stir fry. AND PRICED AFFORDABLE.

But what truly blew me away? The cleanliness. I could literally eat off the floor — and I mean the bathroom floor. That’s how spotless it was.

To top it all off, I got to meet the adorable little boy named Chuy, who the restaurant is named after! He’s the cutest little “CEO” in town and totally stole the show in my photo.

Friendly staff, excellent service, and great food with heart behind it.
Support this local treasure — and don’t forget to say hi to Chuy!

Chuy’s bought Hunan Chinese Restaurant. and remodeled, adding large diagonal wall which reduced the dining area size. Food quality is not what it was, and prices are higher. Mongolian Beef price by $4 in past year. Some entree’s not fresh. Egg rolls are dry and tough. Crab cheese lacks cheese. There was not enough sweet and sour sauce packed in the order for those. Waiters are pleasant, though don’t return often enough to check on customer meals. There is no visibility between many tables and kitchen due to the large wall. Gave it 3 tries. No longer the “go-to” Chinese Restaurant

Our very favorite Chinese restaurant!
We now live 45 minutes away and still cherish our opportunities to eat here. I find the pricing very reasonable. The restaurant is clean and the food hot and fresh.

Been here twice now for dine in, friendly service and a smile every time. The hot and sour soup is great, and so are the entrees I’ve had so far. The dining area is pretty clean, and the food is served hot and fresh. Will be back with friends at some point

Amazing food, great friendly service! Wasn’t too busy on a Friday night, no wait. Highly recommend the “meals”, they come with an app sampler of a crab Rangoon, fried shrimp, and egg roll. The Mongolian beef was especially tasty.
Tea served with meals. I’ll definitely be returning, probably for takeout!

We split a Szechuan chicken dinner in each had a bowl of soup and an egg roll. All were very good. As at many Chinese restaurants, a pot of tea is included. Service was friendly and attentive.

Don’t be surprised like we were. Chuy’s is a Chinese restaurant, not Hispanic. They have a young Chinese chef who is obviously very good.

The dining room itself is a little dated and sterile, however I love supporting locally-owned businesses. I would go back a back again.

Overall, the food was okay but very EXPENSIVE for the SMALL portions. The egg drop soup was extremely salty!! It resembles drinking out of the ocean salty, I do not think enough water could balance this soup. For the price we paid ($81), the experience wasn’t worth it. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
