In from out of town I needed dinner but it was late. There are not many choices other than bar or fast food, and this little gem. So happy the rating didn’t scare me off. When I walked in the place it was well lite, and very clean. In the back is a cute little bar, where I took a seat to order take out and have a beer. The waitress was pleasant, the beer cold served with a frosted mug, lime and salt. My order came out in about the time it took to drink my beer. When I got back to my hotel and opened my take out I found 3 beautiful tacos, cucumbers and tomatoes on the side, limes and two sauces. I was craving tacos and these hit the spot. I understand this place is under new management. I’m not sure what it was like before, but I’ll say they are doing a great job now. I’ll be going back tomorrow for the Heuvos.

WHY AREN’T YOU EATING HERE?

When I walked in the place was empty, and the employees looked really surprised to see me… but I sat myself at the bar and ordered anyhow. The menu is limited to a couple of dozens items – a selection of appetizers and specialties which are… phenomenal (I enjoyed this – enormous, complicated menus are irritating and unnecessary). I ordered the Pollo de la Crema and a margarita.

Listen to me very carefully:

I’ve been waiting my entire life to eat chicken like this.

Creamy and delicious, with a beautiful combination of flavours I can’t quite put my finger on. Just the right amount of highly complimentary rice, and tortillas which tasted like they’d come hot off the press. My margarita was one of the best I’ve ever had. Tangy and unique, not quite like one I’ve ever had before.

I’d eat here every day for years if I was in town for longer… it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but WOW.

Sorry about the half eaten food picture. I didn’t realize what I had before me until it was too late.

Sarita’s Restaurant in Falls Church is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Every dish we tried was clearly prepared with authentic ingredients and love. From the first bite to the last, everything was perfect.

What really makes this place stand out, though, is the staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. It’s the kind of place where they remember your name and genuinely care that you’re enjoying your meal.

Whether you’re dining in or taking out, Sarita’s offers a wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and warm hospitality!

This place is a joke, they make it fancy but the food it’s horrible, over price, and they expect good tip for poor service. ‼️

I don’t speak spanish but my wife does and I wish she came today with me to eat. We immediately talked about my visit afterwards and how ALONE, I managed to spend $66.73 on fish (snapper $38) that I can’t find on the online menu and 2 rail margaritas ( the cheap stuff $24). As a bartender of over 10 years I’m extremely disappointed. The food wasn’t bad (small portions), but considering there wasn’t really ANY people there at 12 noon on a Sunday, it definitely was slow and the drinks were not well made. I live just a few minutes away, but I’m talking to my neighbors now and they just told me they don’t recommend this restaurant for simulator reasons I experienced today. I would just beware and ask a lot of questions so you don’t feel cheated after to leave. There’s no way you can charge such ridiculous prices at a spot with a pool table in the middle of the restaurant and only 1 working television ( play music videos). Sadly, I just don’t see how you can justify the value in the experience. Please let me know your thoughts, I’m definitely not trying to be mean. I will say I’m a little offended.

Placed an order for pick up..I asked for 2 tacos…2 orders. One chicken one beef. She said no we can do 4 tacos..I wanted chicken and beef. So I said if I can only order 4 give me that. Confused because the menu says dos tacos…as in 2…
I looked at the menu at the restaurant and 2 tacos is on the menu.
When I asked them to correct my order they said they can’t it was already made.

But I waited for 8 more minutes. They were not really sorry for their mistake and the meal was $30 more than expected.

Really bad customer service…I won’t go there again. At least offer me the sides that would have come with food I wanted…

This place was ok on food, the prices though, first of all they do not know how to charge and than they forgot basic math, I usually spend between $100 to $200 when we go out as a family. They hit me with $300 and not only that they made me pay the waitress $36 for tips which is forced gratuity. Place is not even worth half of it.

Went here for pupusas at midday during the week. The place was empty but for 2 other people at a table and someone waiting at the bar for their takeout order. Our food took a little long considering how empty it was, but it was a nice lunch. The pupusas tasted fine although I’ve had better, and they gave us a basket of (greasy homemade) chips and bland salsa while we waited. The beans and rice tasted great and was a good side dish. Overall a good, not great, experience.
