Sara’s Indian Cuisine is a gem for authentic flavors without breaking the bank. I tried the biryani and chicken 65—both were delicious, packed with spices and perfectly cooked. The wait time was super short for pickup, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great value for the quality; highly recommend for a quick, tasty Indian meal!

The food and the service was okay but one star is for their forced gift card expiration. My wife got a gift card from the left unused money of the first GC and they force us to use it within three months. We forgot to use in three months and now they don’t honor it. This policy is against the state law which requires minimum validity to be five years. I will file an official complaint against this restaurant.

We had an amazing experience yesterday. The halal meals were absolutely delicious, the service was exceptional, and everything was so clean and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable, and the peaceful background recitation of the Quran added a special spiritual touch. I also loved the warm and kind atmosphere created by the people there.

While back in the Chicago area, I had a taste for some Indian food. I came across Sara’s Pakistani & Indian Cuisine. I’m glad I tried them. Although I did takeout, the atmosphere was great. I had a good conversation with the owner, who is very nice and friendly. I ordered the chicken biryani. It was really good but I had to make sure it wasn’t too spicy before I left….lol
If I’m ever in the area again, I will come back.

Rice is one of the cheapest possible things you can make, which makes it absolutely maddening that NONE of the entrees at Sara’s come with rice. Not a single grain. If you want rice to go with your butter chicken, you’ll have to cough up another $4-6 on top of already very high menu prices. Charging $18 for a chicken dish yet not including something as basic as plain white rice is devious; I’ve NEVER been to any other Indian/Asian restaurant where this is the case. Kababish on Hassert Blvd knows better than to stiff customers the way Sara’s does, and they have way better value too.

My family decided to head to this restaurant today. We went there close to their shut down time yet they patiently took our order and waited for us to finish our food beyond their closing time. The food esp their platter and lamb chops was mind blowing. It taste so good. The quantities are huge. Will definitely visit again.

We had confirmed iftar reservations here twice during this Ramadan and both were later canceled (one of them 36 hours later) because they were “completely booked.”
It appears small groups get dropped when larger parties book later. That is unprofessional and disrespectful.
The first time, I had invited guests and had to face embarrassment making alternative arrangements. If you are a small group, especially with guests, do not rely on their reservations. They are clearly not guaranteed.

This Pakistani restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is incredible and the service is even better. Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the manager was super attentive.
I’ve been to a lot of Pakistani restaurants, but this one stands out. The prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the staff is super welcoming. We’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend.

I’ve dined in and ordered takeout before from here and had positive experiences which is why I was so disappointed with this recent experience. Specifically, the chicken tikka masala was an oily, separated, unappetizing mess; the butter chicken was runny and had 5 small pieces of chicken; and the biryani was just mushy. I hope this is just a one off as I’d like to return. Maybe it’s because the restaurant was not busy and this premade food was sitting around in batches but the quality was really lacking.
