This place was just what I needed. Not being from the area, I wasn’t sure why I chose this spot but glad I did. These places are rare.. a truly good food, good people, consistent Grandma style cooking. It took me back to a more humble, less busy time in life. It’s a small town type feel & without asking anyone around.. I’m sure it’s good every single time! They are repeat offenders! lol I highly recommend it!

This was the best meal we’ve had out in a LONG time! It nothing too fancy and most of the staff was happy and pleasant. The food was fresh and delicious. Thank you to a good friend who told us about this little gem. We will be back after Christmas, for sure.

Ive been wanting to come here for the past year. Working in Fairhope heard good things about them. Finally made it after church Sunday. Not sure if it was just a bad day or what. My meatloaf was dry, hardly could cur or chew hubby’s pork chops from being so dry and hard. Son’s chicken was too dried out as well. Veggies and dessert were good. Overall was just not worth the wait or $$. Disappointed

This place knows how to handle some meat! From the second you walk in you know that these ladies can handle a lot of meat and that they have been handling lots and lots of meat from early on. They really know their way around smoked butts too. I said “can I have some gravy on my mashed potatoes?” And she said “I’ll give you all the gravy your heart desires”. Then she got it all juicy. Next lady said “what I get you” I said “I’m going to need some breast and thighs” she smiled and hit my plate with them. She said my pleasure.

Very nice owner and staff. The variety of food is diverse and locally sourced. Fish, chicken (several ways), meatloaf it’s all there. I could tell their main customers are seniors. The food was under seasoned. That’s a good thing for older people that have to watch their salt intake. Overall good experience. The price includes your drink, tax and desserts.

We’re new to the area…it was pretty cool to have a cafeteria style lunch, brought me back to school days…HOWEVER, the food was sooo good, so fresh, very flavorful, and just ate WAY too much of it. Everything was fresh and seems to be made in house. Definitely going back for more!
