We came for lunch and we ordered the 2 roll combo for lunch and a salmon teriyaki kids bento. The fish was fresh, the rolls were delicious, and the kids bento was quite a deal. We would definitely come back when in the area.

My family and I recently moved to San Elijo over the summer. Sapporo sushi was one of the first restaurants we went to and it was amazing. The sushi tasted like it was straight out of Japan, the meals came with generous portions, and the waiters and staff were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. It’s now winter time and I’ve been here almost 7 times and every time it tastes just as good as the first. If you are in the area, definitely check it out.

Sapporo is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in north county! The lunch special is a great value and the rolls are so fresh and delicious. They were kind about accommodating my dietary restriction (they offered me a salad or soup instead of the pork gyoza which came with my lunch special). I eat quite a bit but even still, I had enough leftovers to take home for dinner.
I went during lunch on a weekday so it was a bit busy and there was only one host/server, but Dustin was hustling to make sure everything came out as quickly as possible which I appreciated! I’ll definitely be back.

We had an amazing lunch for our Anniversary at Sapporo Sushi in San Elijo Hills.
The service, ambiance and food were to perfection. Thank you to the server who treated us to green tea Mochi.
Thank you to the sushi master for the pretty orchid.
We highly recommend coming here.

I really like it. Staff is always wonderful. My wife and I go for lunch. I like the Jessica Albacore roll and my wife likes the spicy ones.

I got some take out, lovely food. Fresh tasting, friendly staff. But sorry the pricing is crazy. $17.99 for Cajun tuna is fine if you get enough food…two pieces is just crazy. I’ll give it another go, but this wasn’t a good start for pricing.

These guys are absolutely amazing. I gave them a break for a little while after they first opened. A year or so passed – they have definitely figured it all out. Amazing quality of fish and hot meals – fun place, awesome outside seating – kind staff. Just simply a reasonably priced top tier fun sushi place. They just need to add kimchi to the menu – I ask for every time.

Excited about finally being able to check out and support Sapporo in our neighborhood. Having it be in walking distance was such a bonus. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a bummer. Plenty of staff on hand, no crowds, no wait. Seated and waited on quickly. So far so good, right? We ordered 3 rolls and waited for well over 40 min before the waiter came out to tell us he lost our order. It wasn’t expedited and came out 20 min later. He said that it was on him, his bad and he would compensate us for the mistake. Sushi was okay. Got the bill and nothing was comped. Not a great first impression.

Sapporo is arguably the best sushi spot in North County. Their sushi is always super fresh and they have a huge selection of specialty rolls and sake. Highly recommend the Samurai Jack roll with the crispy onions on top. Service is top notch and outdoor patio is relaxing with shaded private booths and overhead heaters. Sapporo is on Doordash now too. Try it, you won’t be disappointed
