Came in with my son for lunch and his first hibachi experience. Since it was lunch, I assumed it would be quiet, but didn’t realize we would be the only people in the restaurant. Another two people came in after we got our food. We both ordered the steak hibachi lunch and they brought a small watery salad to our table. There was literally a pool of water at the bottom of the bowl when we finished eating it. I generally don’t love my salad wet. And they also brought us mushroom soup. I had never had that before, but it had a good flavor. We both also got drinks, my Diet Coke was very watered down and flat. If you like crisp Diet Coke, this isn’t the place for it. Our chef came over to the table and began the fun. The fire was so large I literally almost lost my eyebrows. Sheesh, didn’t realize it would come so close to my face. But he put on a good show, bouncing squash into our mouths for us to catch. And squirting juice in my son’s mouth. He really got a kick out of it. The flavors of the food were very good and the portions of rice are enormous! Like 3 cups of rice per plate! I wish I had more steak to go with it, lol. When we got the bill, I noticed it was unusually high, when I put my glasses on I noticed they added gratuity, for just my son and I. Usually they only add gratuity for parties of six or more. I will say, I felt that was pretty tacky. I usually tip more than the standard 20%, but when something like that happens and I don’t have a say in where my money is going, I tip their minimum, so what could have been more, wasn’t. Then on top of that, I got charged a surcharge for using a credit card. Yikes. While it was ok, we won’t be coming back.

Went here last night before heading to a hockey game. First time at this hibachi, we usually go to one closer to our house but this was on our way downtown.

I have a mixed review, which is why this is three star. I don’t see us going back

Pros:
1) Easily got a table for 6 at hibachi on Saturday night with almost no advanced notice. There were actually other tables available while we ate.
2) hibachi portion sizes were enormous. Everyone has to-go boxes
3) Food was good. Standard fare for hibachi with typical prices.

Cons:
1) My main problem is really how the bill worked out. First, towards the end of the meal the cook put out a tip jar. The jar remained in his cart but he was sure to make sure we noticed it by playing with it and dangling cash out of the jar. We took the bait and threw the guy $20.

However – when the bill came, it also had automatically tacked on an additional 20% tip for our table of 6. This was automatically added.

I immediately felt annoyed that I had no option to adjust this based on the fact that I already gave the guy $20. I decided I wasn’t going to say anything and just gave them my card.

Then they reminded me that the charge card will be an additional 4% upcharge (this is posted on their door) but at that point I was a bit salty. This is when I asked about the gratuity that is forced on the check after I already tipped a portion of it cash. The lady said “we all split this tip” and there was no opportunity to adjust it.

The whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. At the end of the day we spent $225 for $156 dollar meal. The food was good but the service certainly wasn’t good enough to be dropping a $51 tip. Which leads me to my next point….

2) Hibachi is all about showmanship – while the chef did a good job, it was certainly less flashy than our local place. The kids had fun but even they mentioned at the end that it was not quite what they were used to. Sure I could have not thrown the cash tip, but I figured it would all work out at the end. It just didn’t.

This was a one off stop on the way to an event, but I don’t see a need to go back when there are better places local and this experience left me annoyed. Maybe this is why they had open tables with no wait on a Saturday night.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere! I had the chicken hibachi dinner which came with so much food for the price! Everything was so good. All staff were so kind. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out deep fried cheesecake for her!

We celebrated my friend’s birthday at this restaurant. All of us very pleased with the delicious food, the entertaining chef, the great service and the relaxed atmosphere. Much to our delight, the robot delivered her birthday treat and played “Happy Birthday.” We had a great time. Looking forward to dining there again!

We spent my son’s 21st birthday here. They used a R2D2 type robot to sing happy birthday and deliver his dessert. The chef was amazing and entertaining. Portion sizes were large and filling. My step daughter tried sushi for the first time and she loved it.

My husband brought me today for dinner. It was our first time. What a wonderful experience! The service was great. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection, and they give generous portions. The star of the show was the cook, he made it super fun! It was clean and just a great atmosphere. Great steak and sushi! Their menu has a huge selection. Prices are pretty reasonable too.

The food was delicious, in fact it was perfect. The prices and portions were spot on with what should be expected at a hibachi restaurant. Staff were friendly and very fast. My wife and I were able to quickly get a spot at the bar and order our food from there instead of waiting for a large group table. One small note is that the pop is not carbonated quite enough. Will definitely return.

VERY RACIST ESTABLISHMENT!!! we were refused service, all because of our skin tone! A waitress literally refused to even take our drink order. We sat for over an hour with no service not even a drink order!! A table of different skin color sat down an hour after us and was serviced and welcomed. i will never ever recommend this establishment! do not eat here! Furthermore, there were no bathrooms!! All the bathrooms were out of service. So waiting 2+hours with no bathroom and letting customers go thru the kitchen to use the bathroom in the back?? VERYYY unsanitary

The hibachi grill is extremely entertaining and turns a regular meal into an experience. The chefs have a great sense of humor which adds to the experience. Highly recommend to bring a group of family or friends here. The portions are great for the price. We both had tons to bring home and didn’t even order appetizers or sushi.

All the food was grilled to perfection, and seasoned beautifully. No flavors overpowered anything and the meats really shined through.

The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered: veggie gyoza, las vegas roll, chicken tempura roll, crab ragoon and hibachi dinner. The only downfall was the service. The waitress was super kind, but with the time being dinner hour things began to get hectic. I was delivered the wrong food. There were times when we had get up and ask the kitchen directly for water. We could tell our waitress was busy since she was running back and fourth between the kitchen and different tables. I’m not speaking bad about the restaurant whatsoever. But if you are going at dinner time, just bring your patience with you and give the workers some grace bc they deserve it. You won’t be disappointed.
