Reviews
I ordered the tempura udon with two prawns and egg on top, and it was really good. The udon noodles had a nice chewy texture, and the soup wasn’t too strong in flavour — it was light, smooth, and paired perfectly with the noodles. I also had a draft beer, which was fresh and nicely carbonated, making the meal even more relaxing.
However, I wasn’t quite sure why the freshly fried tempura prawns were served directly on top of the soup udon instead of on a separate plate. The batter quickly soaked up the soup, so the texture wasn’t as crispy as I expected. I would have preferred the tempura to stay crunchy on the outside.
There aren’t many seats available. If you sit at the bar counter, you can watch the chefs prepare the food right in front of you, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, it’s a great place for authentic Japanese udon in a cosy and lively setting.
On the other hand some of the staff were incredibly rude, stating out of the bat there was no english menu. We hd our meal and were rushed to pay, whilst a nice gentleman was kind and polite. Staff could definitely work on customer service because there is definitely room for improvement.
Of course I’m not Japanese but for someone that travel eating all around and appreciates local genuine flavors this is not it
Place could be a bit more cosy, chairs without back support for example
