I really wanted to love this place because the staff were so welcoming and helpful, but the food and timing were letdowns. I waited 40 minutes for a burger and a small side of fries that cost almost $20. Given the high price, I expected at least a bit more quantity if not quality. Great people, but the kitchen and value need some work.

I went here for breakfast and had only 45 minutes to order, eat, and get out, and found out, this isn’t the restaurant to go to for a 45 minute stay. It may be a good restaurant but seemed unorganized and I didn’t feel I was serviced properly. I got 2 over easy eggs, shredded hash browns, extra bacon, and wheat toast which was multi grain thick bread. The hash browns were under cooked, the bacon was ok but not greasy enough, the eggs were fine and the bread wasn’t what I wanted, I should have gotten white. I had to wait too long for ketchup and to get my check. I’m not saying don’t go here but it’s certainly not traditional breakfast fare.

This is the second time I give this restaurant a try and just because of the service I will not return! It starts with management and if they don’t care why is any of the other employees going to care! We walked in and were told the wait time was 20 minutes, which ended up turning into an hour wait. Being that I was with two hungry small children I was very aggravated, I expressed my frustration to the manager and she simply told me we can’t keep up with how busy it is we are frustrated too sorry! basically brushing me off. Her shirt was dirty, hair was messy her appearance screamed LAZY! We finally sat down the food took forever, our waiter cursed in front of my kids and it took almost 15 minutes just to get our check because of course they messed up and did not bring one of our side dishes out, and the food was okay nothing out of the ordinary for the prices! I rather eat at a fast food than to deal with the people here!

Well, can’t say I’ll be going back to cracker barrel anytime soon. For starters, the price blew me away for what I got. 2 pieces of “grilled chicken”, hard crunchy rice mixed with a little bit of chewy rice, and somehow seasoned broccoli. Not sure where the flavor came from for the broccoli but that had the most taste out of all 3.
$16.49 for this. Also came with 2 corn muffins which weren’t too bad.
The front checkout girl and a couple of the waiters that helped me was wonderful even though I had short interactions with them as I took this food to-go and walked to the hotel next door. They definitely helped with this rating I’m giving. All together I spent $21.11 with 2 water bottles I bought here as well.
Definitely disappointed in the food for it being a cracker barrel, home cooking, family atmosphere and definitely disappointed with that price for it.
The only reason I grabbed that dish was because I saw a previous review of only a few months ago that the dish costed $14 and change according to the picture of the menu that the other person had posted.

The food is okay for the price, nothing to drive out of the way for and probably won’t try again unless I’m on a road trip. Staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere / theme is really cool. If it wasn’t for the store and decor, I’d be giving it a 2 star.

Very country style place. Food was good but the waiting time is outrageous. My family and I waited an hour, and our waitress forgot about only one appetizer we ordered…so the entire 1h we just sat there, and the appetizer we got at the same time when food was brought to out table.

What a breakfast!! Had a great time here! My first experience was years ago and I forgot how good it was. This visit rekindled my tastebuds. I ordered way too much food, but was happy to bring some home. The fireplace gave it a country, warm vibe. Thanks for the great food.

Review 2 (second time): I went on a little bit busier day then the first visit and had bad service. Our waiter didn’t pay attention to us during our visit and didn’t check on us during the whole time we were there. Only once she gave us drinks we didn’t ask for. My boyfriend didn’t enjoy the lemonade and finished it and she gave us another one with out asking ‘did you want a refill or did you want a different or same drink’. We waited about an hour for our food. We were waiting for her to come back to give a status on our food, but we got lukewarm food. My mash potatoes were warm not hot and didn’t come with gravy like menu said. I asked for butter on them, but they were dry. The catfish was really good and super hot. And my boyfriends steak was dry. I hate complaining but it wasn’t the same experience as the first time.
Review 1: (first time going) Excellent customer service from Darnel in the gift shop. He helped us with questions about prices as we picked out some mugs. Our waiter, Marie had amazing customer service as well. She was patience with us as we had a bunch of questions about the food as it was out first time coming to the restaurant. I ended up ordering the trout with broccoli and mashed potatoes. (I got them with butter instead of gravy that it comes with) the trout was seasoned well and the potatoes were amazing. My boyfriend had the sirloin steak it was a little under seasoned but cooked to perfection. They forgot the garlic seasoning it came with so we got it on the side. He also had home style hash browns it was really good with the bacon. We also got corn on the cob which tasted like it was hand picked and made here. The biscuits that came with the meals was a bit too salty, but was really fluffy. And we got white cheddar bites that were really good, but wish it had marinara sauce to go with it. Also there lemonade was also good, but the peach tea is a little too sweet in my opinion. So I mixed it with lemonade to make it less sweet. Lastly, they were out of stock on a lot of menu items when we went which was disappointing. We ordered dessert which was chocolate cake and it was gritty tasting and under cooked. I would comeback here again.
