Reviews
The customer service is unlike anything I’ve seen before. Rodrigo was our host, and I swear he could either read minds or had an incredible understanding of the flavors we were looking for, because every single recommendation was a 10000/10.
Stumbled upon this gem on a first date and it had the perfect ambiance, service and entertainment as we sat at the bar side by side overlooking chefs power torch sushi to expert deliciousness.
I enjoyed an excellent martini and veggie maki roll. Let’s just say the whole experience created some first date flames beyond the open kitchen concept.
Can’t wait to return for the next act.

Food:
We got a myriad of dishes since almost all of them came as single pieces that ranged from ~100-200mxn each. I don’t think any one of them wowed me or felt worth the price of the piece. A large factor in this was that the sushi rice they made was wayyy too sweet, which was incredibly noticeable with the butter salmon, and remained noticeable for the rest of the experience. Neither of us left full despite the hefty bill, and I started to dial myself back when I realized I wasn’t fully enjoying the food.
The fish itself was good, and most of the topping they came with were also good (lemon zest, yuzu, etc.). The wasabi was very dry, I would often get a chunk of wasabi and try to get it on my sushi, but it would land and then roll off. The ginger was tasty but also pretty dry somehow. We got the Oaxacan chocolate piece and the balance was pretty far off.
I think I’d recommend the bass, hotate, and spicy tuna hand roll. Also on the back of the menu there is a sushi roll with crispy salmon skin and the crispy salmon skin was spot on, but the 6 pieces felt way too small for the price (good though)
Service:
Did not feel very welcome. We are learning Spanish, decent at it (B1 and B2), and are excited to learn and practice. We were handed English menus and were spoken to mostly in English despite us speaking exclusively Spanish the whole time. In our first interaction he asked what type of water we wanted, mineral or natural, and then he was essentially walking away as he mentioned it would be bottled, so we didn’t have a good opportunity to turn it down for non bottled water instead. The two bottles came out to $190mxn which is insane. Also I requested gluten free soy sauce in the reservation but never received any.
Atmosphere:
The vibe of sitting at the bar is pretty great, it was really fun seeing them make everything and prep the fish. The music was good, but a little too loud.
Overall, I wouldn’t come back, it was far too expensive for the experience. Everything was good, but for the price it should have been excellent.
What truly made the night unforgettable, though, was our server David. David went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. He gave great recommendations, checked in at just the right times, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued.
Excellent food paired with top-tier service is hard to beat, and this place delivers both. If you’re looking for incredible sushi and a server who truly cares about your experience, ask for David. We’ll definitely be back!
Been in Mexico for 5 days and this was a great little break before we went back to street food. Highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar to watch their team assemble your order.
