Had a terrific dinner at Santinos Fusion Kitchen tonight.
They now serve Italian, Indian, Thai, and Mexican.
Destiny our waitress was very attentive and the chef checked on us several times to be sure the dishes were to our liking.
We started with Paneer (Indian Cheese)Tikka. It came on a sizzling plate and was very tasty.
For our mains my wife had the Italian fest (Lasagna, Meatball, and Vermicelli) that alone could have fed both of us.
I love Indian food so I ordered the Crab Curry accompanied by Onion Nan.
All the flavors of every dish were a culinary adventure.
We spoke to the chef several times and learned cooking is his passion and it definitely was well presented through the dishes. He is well versed in many cusines.
PLEASE PLEASE SUPPORT THIS SMALL BUSINESS.
There is nothing like it the area.
If you want to sample their menu, try their Sunday buffet only $15.99 11-2.

Quiet spot for a late lunch/early dinner. They have a lot to offer so take your time. Try something new…I did. Paneer Tikka, it was amazing. Deep warm Indian flavors. And the Ribeye was cooked to perfection and had an amazing flavor. The chef checked in to make sure all the food was up to par.
It’s a great spot. If I’m ever in Alton for business again I will be back.

My wife and I recently tried a brand-new steak, Italian, and Indian fusion restaurant, and wow — it was one of the most memorable meals we’ve had in a long time. It takes real confidence for a restaurant to blend three bold culinary traditions, but everything here felt seamless, intentional, and downright delicious.

The moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between upscale and inviting. Warm lighting, rich aromas, and the kind of attentive service that makes you feel like you’re the only table in the room.

We started with appetizers that set the tone immediately: imagine classic Italian touches layered with Indian spices and served with steakhouse flair. Every bite had depth and character without ever feeling overdone.

Overall, this restaurant is doing something truly special. If you love bold flavors, thoughtful combinations, and a dining experience that feels fresh and exciting, this place is a must-visit. We can’t wait to go back.

11/19/25 Edit: we have been back so many times since the new menu has been implemented and it’s always incredible! Tonight we tried the Chicken Biryani that was served with a delicious yogurt sauce! & chef kk also recommended a carrot pudding (I believe called Gajar Halwa) that was so light warm and refreshing for a dessert, so perfect for a cold night!

The new menu is so delicious we loved it with the previous owners and have enjoyed it still it may be different but change is good! Definitely have to give it a chance!

Stopped in for lunch and we were seated immediately. We didn’t realize the menu had changed and now includes Thai, Mexican and Indian as well as the normal Italian.. It wasn’t busy but we were there at 1:30 so that could’ve been the reason. My husband ordered the Italian Feast and he said it was hot and delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was really good as well. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The chef came out several times and checked to be sure we were satisfied with our meal. He gave us a small serving of chocolate mousse complimentary and it was delicious as well. We enjoyed our lunch and we each had leftovers to take home as the portions was huge. We ordered Penne Alla Pesto to go. I enjoyed it for dinner and again it was delicious and a huge portion. Thank you, Santinos for a great meal today!!

Just about everything you could want is on this menu, from italian to Indian to Mexican. We tried a couple of italian dishes, and they were fantastic. They did have a buffet going that looked tasty, but for our first time here, we opted to choose from the menu and we were not disappointed. Nickil our waiter was pleasant and attentive. Oh, and you’ll love the light jazz and big band music in the background.

Thrilled to have Indian food in Alton IL. The food was much better than expected and the mango lassi/milkshake was super tasty. Hope they make it legit and offer lunch buffet in the future. Was also nice meeting the chef who was very friendly.

We were excited to hear about Chef KK joining the kitchen and adding Thai and Indian dishes to the menu. I’m no expert on Indian food, but I absolutely loved the butter chicken. The only thing I wished for was a little more rice—simply because there was so much delicious sauce. We also tried the red curry, the cocnut soup and the garlic naan. I normally like my red curry to be a little more “soupy” but I’m sure that’s an easy request as Chef KK seemed extremly willing to accomodate.

We went at an “off” time, and Chef KK was truly a one-man show. He seated us, brought our tea, cooked our food, and checked on us several times to make sure everything was perfect. He shared his passion for cooking and mentioned plans to add even more Indian and Thai dishes to the menu. Thai and Indian are great for carry out as well as they reheat so easily (as I discovered with our left overs.)

Alton/Godfrey is really lacking this type of cuisine, so I’m very happy to see this addition to Santino’s menu and truly hope the community supports the business.

This was a great experience. It was a nice quiet environment with pleasant service. They offer so much here but I was really excited about having a restaurant that served Indian food locally! Let me tell you they delivered. The Tikka Masala was excellent. My wife had the Thai yellow curry and it was also delicious.
