I feel compelled to leave this review regarding my smothered chorizo burrito even though I’m conflicted. Santiago’s reputation for serving the best burritos is well-established. And the green chili was absolutely delicious; It would be hard to imagine better!

But the amount of chorizo in the burrito—as shown in the photo—leaves a lot to be desired. And trust me, every spec was meticulously removed. A smothered burrito must be eaten with a fork, and after 1/3 of the way through, the lack of chorizo prompted my investigation.

The additional chorizo burritos that both my wife and I got will be eaten tomorrow. Should I find significantly more chorizo in mine, I will update this review.

I asked for a smothered breakfast burrito with extra cheese. The eggs tasted over cooked. Not much potatoes and maybe 3 little bits of meat. No green chili or cheese on the inside of the burrito so it was dry. I had to open it up and make it like a bowl. The green chili helped cover the taste of over cooked scrambled egg, but the most disappointing thing is the scam on the meat.

I had an issue with bianca I was looking at board to see about ordering for a football team and co workers she assumed that she didn’t charge me right and jumped in my face with receipt saying I see you think I charged you wrong and I said what are you talking about I was seeing about ordering other stuff never have I had an experience where a person would jump in my face and be so rude I went that afternoon to report her was told by her aunt well her dad and mom own the place but I will talk to her I felt a way about that because family or not there is a thing called customer service and kindness no matter who you are now the rest of staff is so amazing I love them they make sure I am good food is so amazing I still go because my daughter loves breakfast there but I never go to bianca

Really really good food but it is 100% going to end up everywhere inside of the bag. You could drive home at 5 mph and it’s gonna be a mess, please please get better packing. Otherwise fantastic

Santiago’s breakfast burritos are pretty gross. They’re wet and slimy, smothered in green sauce. The tortillas are always wet and soggy. Probably one of the worst burritos I’ve ever tried. Why does everything have to be doused in green chili sauce?

To be very honest, this has been the worst restaurant experience hands down. WORST MEXICAN FOOD I’VE EVER TASTED (coming from someone who was raised with Authentic Mexican food and Mexican Household). On top of that HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went in on my lunch break hoping for at least decent enchiladas. I was yelled at for asking my enchiladas a certain way (authentic way) and humiliated for asking if they had or sold a certain kind of salsa. I thought to myself alright maybe she’s not having the best day and chose to take it out on me. That’s fine, I let it slide and decided to still pay for my plate. When I saw my “plate” I was still willing to give it a chance even though it looked like a puddle of juices mixed with beans and onions. “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Helll nahh, throw the whole book away. It was a plate of canned beans and basically biting into a soggy tortilla full of onion. Not only did I feel humiliated by their cashier but disappointed in myself for wasting $14 on a plate that tasted like *****. SAVE YOUR MONEY & TIME. Go ANYWHERE ELSE. LITERALLY

For a truly transcendent chorizo breakfast burrito that stands head and shoulders above the rest, the undisputed champion is found at Santiago’s on Broadway. This isn’t just a burrito; it’s a Denver institution wrapped in foil. The star is the perfectly seasoned, wonderfully spicy chorizo, cooked to savory perfection and generously packed into a soft, warm tortilla alongside fluffy scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and their famously potent green chili. It’s the ultimate harmony of flavor and texture, delivering a hearty, soul-warming punch that will fuel your entire day and have you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished the last, glorious bite. This is the benchmark by which all other breakfast burritos in town!

The wife and I order from here once or twice a month for some time now. It has affordable pricing and we have never gotten a bad meal. The food is for takeout only. Get pretty decent food fresh fixed for about the same price as drive-thru fast food except the food is way better
