I got the tri-tip sandwich. It’s just the meat on a stadium roll. That’s it. It also comes with your choice of BBQ sauce. I don’t remember the price, but it’s a bit pricey for just the meat on a bun. There is a nice amount of meat, but I don’t think it’s worth it. I found it on the bland side of things, but the flavor was good. My wife tried the Swiss mushroom burger and it was also very plain. A toasted bun, burger, Swiss cheese, and sautéd mushrooms. There isn’t anything else on it. I think it was around $12.50. The French fries are good. I think the inside is pleasant. The restaurant is in an unfortunate location, being a ways out of town. I know it’s a bit harsh to say, but just don’t see myself wanting to come back unless they revamp the menu and make the food less plain. I think this restaurant has potential to be a fun spot to eat at.

It was our first time here and it didn’t disappoint. Being a transplant from SoCal with Tri tip being a main part in family bbq’s, we were happy to find Santa Maria.
I was greeted by Nancy the owner who was super friendly. We had the Tri tip plate and it was very good, plenty of food, I could have had left overs but it was so good, I ate it all. It’s a small place kinda on the outskirts of town but well worth the drive. Will definitely try again, especially the Tri tip nachos and tacos.

We sat outside on a beautiful day. The meat was seasoned perfectly where you don’t need bbq sauce but they have custom
Made bbq sauce available. We brought our puppy and they got us a little tri tip treat and a pup cup and water. Love the family atmosphere.

I was pretty excited to try this place. Especially after watching the Santa Maria grilling on the Food Network. It’s location is not the best. It’s not really close to anything. It’s clear out at the end of hit Road by the highway headed out to Rexburg. There’s not a lot of seating inside. I stopped to get takeout at about 6 o’clock on a Friday night. It took about 25 minutes to get my food. When I open the containers, I was kind of disappointed at the size of the sandwich for $16 and the size of the tri-tip platter for $20. However, tri-tip was really delicious. They do a great job cooking it. The salad was not the best. If you are getting it to go remember to ask for barbecue sauce because it’s not included automatically.

Wonderful service. High-quality food. The tri-tip was flavorful and juicy but not so drippy as to ruin the bread on their sandwich and not overly seasoned to the point where you couldn’t appreciate the quality cut of meat. The fresh made raspberry barbeque sauce was exquisite and had just the lightest touch of spice! The fries were the perfect texture and fresh, hot, and crispy! Even the fry sauce was fresh made with a thick quality mayo that had just the lightest zing to it. The Black & Blue Burger was phenomenal! Cooked perfectly and held together so that every bite was just as tasty as the first. The chile beans were just the right amount of smoky, spicy, and cheesy. Topping it all with a light, fresh-made strawberry mint lemonade was perfection! It’s not too sweet and syrupy – just right to be refreshing! This was a truly wonderful experience. They have a brightly colored, cute custom hand-painted mural and vibrant eclectic decor. Upbeat music and kind, friendly staff/owner. Really made our day!

I had the Tri tip Taco. It was phenomenal it had so much flavor but nothing was too overpowering. I had the red chile salsa and it was flavorful most places lack in a flavorful salsa. I love the story of this place I’d definitely recommend they know what they’re doing. Best tacos I’ve had in a LONG time!! And it’s right off the highway very convenient!

The Tri-Tip sandwich wasn’t bad, a little dry but good flavor. The killer is how slow the service is. We called ahead for a company lunch of 12 and it took over 2 hours to get all of our sanwiches…they came out two by two and 5 tables that came in after us were served before us. I won’t be back.

This bbq place is super cute! Limited menu makes it so they can do quality foods.
We ordered: tri-tip taco, chicken taco, bacon cheeseburger, black & blue burger and Avo-mex burger. We also got 3 fountain drinks and one horchata.
The corn tortillas for the tacos are made in house and are so yummy! The meat in the tacos was delicious.
The bacon cheeseburger was yummy with the bacon cooked perfectly.
The black & blue burger was good. The blue cheese was the perfect amount not to be too strong. The burger patty was a little dry but has good flavor.
The Avo-mex burger had great flavor. The burger was a little dry. I added onions and tomatoes to it. Loved the garlic butter on the bun.
They take food allergies seriously and made sure to not put lettuce on the sandwich that needed to be lettuce-free.
The horchata was perfect!! So happy with it.
