Sanskrit Indian Restaurant – A Delightful Indian Dining Experience
We recently had dinner at Sanskrit for the first time and decided to sample a variety of their authentic Indian dishes. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience.
The service was excellent — the staff were responsive and took our order promptly, and the food was served in good time. While the portion sizes were moderate, the flavours were outstanding. Each dish was beautifully spiced with a well-balanced blend of herbs and seasonings that truly captured the essence of Indian cuisine.
Pricing was fair — not the cheapest option, but definitely worth it for the quality and taste. Also, all food is halal.
In summary, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I’d certainly recommend Sanskrit to anyone who appreciates well-crafted Indian food. I’ll be happy to return in the future.

I visited this restaurant recently and I would definitely love to visit again. The way the staff talks with customers is very polite and welcoming, and their hospitality is excellent. Mani bro and the entire staff were extremely friendly, respectful, and attentive. They made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Mani bro personally suggested some really good food, and every item we tried was delicious and well-prepared. Indian junnu has good taste.The service was quick, the atmosphere was pleasant, and overall it was a great experience. Highly recommended for good food and even better service.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this one’s more of a mixed one. First thing, entering the restaurant there was no foh available so we just sat ourselves down. I noticed the cleanliness of the restaurant was abysmal. This was literally with everything. One thing ok, you can get away with but the seat had food all over it. The plates were all dirty. Surely you can see the dirt before serving it to customers no? We had to wipe them ourselves cos it would be embarrassing constantly telling them that the cutlery, glasses and plates are unclean. Popadoms I’ve never had bad anywhere ever, hard to get them wrong but it was soft (so they were most likely old taken straight out the fridge). We did have to wait 1 hour for the popadoms to come out which was a rather long wait especially since they weren’t fresh. The chips were soo bad. It was as if it had been leftovers from previous people that weren’t finished and just refried and served to us. Most of the chips were overly crunchy scraps. The fish and naan were ok but curries weren’t amazing bar 1 which was decent.

I don’t give many 2 star reviews because I’d rather not review a place at all if I don’t like it but I needed to share my experience here.
Upon arriving at the restaurant there was no one at the front of house and during the whole visit here, there hardly was anyone at the front of house at all times (in case you needed something, which we did) when sitting down on the seats (after seating ourselves) the booth was filthy with crumbs and salt all over the bench. Our waitress took our order efficiently which was great. We were given our drinks in a can (which is fine I don’t mind that) with glasses that were just pure filthy – full of fingerprints and dirty stains – on a cleanliness front, I wasn’t too pleased. We then got our poppadoms (after half an hour) which were just plain old stale – they had a crunch but you could tell it was just sat out for ages as it had that stale oily taste. We asked for a chutney tray but were only given yoghurt and mango only. Didn’t bother asking for the rest.
The fish pakora was decent but we had to ask for plates so could eat it (which were really dirty) – the cleanliness once again lets them down, it’s not hard to check before serving?
The biryani and the lamb curry were decent but lacked extra seasoning in the curry when it was being cooked and salt – it just tasted watery. The peshwari naan was the highlight of the meal, that was truly fantastic and tasty! As well as the satkora sauce – the lamb was tender but just the overall taste was a let down – the masala chips were disappointing to say the least – overly crunchy, felt refried and not a great taste
I also have reason to believe that this establishment is faking positive reviews to benefit them – someone mentioned that the restaurant was not clean and suddenly an hour or so later a 5* review stating that the restaurant is spotless – and then a whole bunch of 5* reviews from accounts that are restricted with only 1 or 2 reviews on the account. Not acceptable.
I understand as a ex small business owner how hard it is to keep getting genuine positive reviews. Don’t fake it just to deceive the public to come to your establishment which has happened to us in this case.
Just keep to the basics. Good service, clean restaurant and basic standard level of food. You’re 80% there and I’m sure you’ll up there with the best of them!
Hope you see this as constructive criticism and that things can change for the better

Service wasn’t overly bad but you need to have staff always available at the front. Front of house staff should not be loitering around the back waiting for food to be cooked and then only come out.
Have a clean restaurant. If the service between breakfast and lunch is too much. Maybe close for an hour or two in between to help reshuffle and get going again to make sure everything is clean and ready for service
Food wasn’t too bad, just lacked that extra spice hit or seasoning, poppadoms were stale, chips were just so hard, and crunchy – hardly any filling and felt like we just had the scraps! The peshwari naan was fantastic
Parking available outside.

Had a great food experience here! Tried the biryani, naan, and chicken starters, and everything tasted really good. The biryani was flavorful, naan was soft and fresh, and the chicken starters were juicy and perfectly cooked. Good taste, nice portions, and overall a very satisfying meal. Would definitely visit again!

I visited Sanskrit Restaurant on the 6th of January apologies for the very late review! I really liked this restaurant and would highly recommend everyone to go and give it a try.
The food had very authentic flavors with wonderful aromas. What truly stood out was the hospitality. The chef personally came to our table, listened carefully to each of our preferences, and prepared the dishes exactly the way we wanted. I really appreciated his genuine care and attention. He even suggested dishes based on good taste rather than leftovers, and everything was prepared fresh.
The hospitality was excellent, and overall the experience was awesome. The taste especially reminded me of truly authentic Indian food, which I absolutely loved. I can’t wait to visit again soon.
The only small downside is that the price doesn’t fully match the quantity, but apart from that, everything was perfect. Definitely a must-visit place!

Food was absolutely tremendous and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The owner personally took great care of us and really understood our spice level preferences, which made a huge difference. He suggested and served a perfect mix of dishes so everyone at the table could enjoy the food.
Special thanks to Mani and Vivek, who served us throughout — they were extremely attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. As a lovely gesture, we were also given complimentary soft drinks, which we really appreciated.
