Sangria y Tapas is one of my favorite food spots in Cleveland. It’s a strong menu and consistently delicious.
My favorite things on the menu are its Gambas a Ajillo (shrimp with garlic) and Pulpo ala Galleca (octopus with paprika). The gambas is so decadent, perfectly cooked and swimming in this rich garlicky olive oil with sweet bits of sautéed garlic. The pulpo is so well prepared. It’s sweet and very tender, drenched in this smokey, slightly sweet olive oil sauce. When I’m done with both dishes, l ask for more bread to sop up the remaining sauce.
Also delicious on their menu are the Ceviche de Grouper (or Gambas), which is so fresh and light; and their Croquettes, which are deep fried filled with ham and cheese and drizzled with a little honey.
Their Paella is okay. It offers all the elements of this traditional Valencian favorite, however, it’s missing an important part: the socarrat (crusty/ crispy caramelized bits at the bottom of the pan). This is, in part a result of their use of a calderon versus a traditional Paella Pan.
This is a great place for folx who are interested in stepping outside of their food “comfort zone” because the plates are small and offer a wide variety of options (from “safer” to more “challenging).
I enjoy Sangria y Tapas. It’s a standout in the Cleveland food scene for of its variety, taste, and consistency.

We went for a Saturday date night after saying we wanted to go here for forever. Our waiter Victor was friendly and attentive as was all staff we interacted with. The food was amazing! We decided to do plates of hot tapas. We got the clams, octopus, blood sausage, and quail and all were delicious. We thoroughly loved the atmosphere and had a great date night here. We will definitely be going back!

As another has said, the service made up for everything. They were amazing hosts for my wife’s birthday. The food however, was the reason for the 4 stars.
Sangria was awesome, great flavor and reasonably priced.
I wouldn’t recommend the fried calamari as it was pure rubber, but the other tapas were good. However, we felt the quality didnt match the price. These are small, sharable plates, not full meals.
The paella flavor was pretty good, however, I noticed that many places around Cleveland don’t do it correctly. The chicken and lobster consistently come out dry as all hell. It shouldn’t be that way…
Again, service was amazing, loved the time there. The sangria as well. The food price is just too steep for the quality.

If you’re looking for authentic paella and warm, inviting atmosphere, this is the place to be! We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and every visit feels special. The flavors are rich and true to tradition, and the quality has remained consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance makes it perfect for family gathering or cozy night out. Highly recommended.

Seriously one of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland. It’s hard to find that old school class and care that this restaurant provides. I cannot overstate how pleased I was with my meal. Highlights: Ceviche, Paella, Mascarpone. I need to come back and try their specials because they all sounded very interesting. Also, I tried every sangria and I can confirm each was fantastic.

Went here with friends for a birthday. We were sat by the window which we liked. This is fine dining with reasonable prices. The waiter gave us details of the specials in Spanish. The menu gives both Spanish and English. The bread comes out with the oil to dip the bread in. The Clam chowder was a hit. We all enjoyed our dinners with seafood.

Wonderful! We sat outside. There’s road noise which is unavoidable. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff were very attentive. Everything was fresh and felt like a good value. Very pleased, we will be sure to stop in any time we’re in the area. BTW, if you drink Cuban coffee, don’t order Spanish coffee and expect something similar. Order it anyway and enjoy the show and a delicious adult beverage!

First time visitor and I was very impressed with this establishment from the get go! My wife and I walked in and boom, a waiter was polite and ready to seat us. We sat on the patio to enjoy the summer air, but the inside was so welcoming! We walked outside to find a cozy back patio with flowers and sunshine. The patio also comes equipped with a covered bar to enjoy a game while you sip your beverage. My wife ordered a few apps while I enjoyed the stuffed salmon! Her appetizers were so good and my salmon was delicious! This place definitely impressed me and the service was great! If you have Marco helping you then you’re in good hands. They have plenty of appetizers, hot foods and cold foods. The most expensive item that I saw was $29 for a seafood option, but they have plenty of other options. Check this place out, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
