The atmosphere was a chill vibe. We were warmly greeted and taken to our table. Since the place was not parked we were even invited to choose where we would like to seat. The service from Tanya the waitress, Joesph from the bar and the chef was unmatched. The bar tender was very accommodating and very creative in mixing drinks that were not on the menu. Tanya read the mood and knew just when to ask it we needed another drink, clear the table, adjusted the temperature, bring takeaway dishes. By the end of the night I wanted to take her home with me. The music was great and not too loud so we didn’t have to shout at each other to try to have a conversation. As other guests filed in one could get a sense of familiarity and comfort. A good review for a place like this is returning customers. Nothing puts a stamp like a willingness to return. The all our food choices were amazing. The only constructive criticism is that some of the plantain were stuck together when fried and was undercooked where they were stuck. No big deal-it could happen to the best of cooks. The BBQ wing and sweet chillie wings were delish ( wings are my favorite). The Sandz plater is a good choice for appetizers since it is a variety on one plate. The shrimp Alfredo with jerk shrimp was a palate delight. A little sweet and a little spicy -marrying into one awesome flavor and the pasta was perfectly cooked. One person from our party returned three days later. I plan on returning soon and I definitely recommend checking out this restaurant for dinner or just for a hangout with friends.

I came here with my family to celebrate my aunts birthday. I made a reservation for 9pm for 7 people. We sat at our table FOR ONE HOUR and not one person acknowledged us, offered water or say your waiter will be with you shortly. I understand it Valentine’s Day which is why I made a reservation. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. There were empty tables. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WISH TO WAIT EXTENSIVELY. I don’t care how well made the food is this is not the service you should provide. STAY AWAY!!

Wanted some crab cakes for dinner and always said I would come here. I ordered a plain pasta and crab cakes to go. The pasta is very flavorful but the crab cakes were a bit disappointing. I don’t see any real crab in the crab cakes. Just looks like a bunch of filling. The taste was subpar as well. Wouldn’t get them again.

It’s good atmosphere for a night out with friends. There is a live band and by a certain time it’s more of a party. If you want to just go out to have fun & eat then I recommend after 10pm. If you are trying to at-least talk a little and hear each other then definitely go before the turn up.
I got the salmon with mash with butter sauce which was good. The veggies could of been cooked more. The crab cake was good. Overall and cool atmosphere.

This was a terrible dining experience all together. The service is -10/10. We had a reservation for 8:30 pm and we arrived their SECURITY told us there wasn’t a reservation for us. Security and host/hostess are 2 different positions, so our party of 4 was confused as to how “we didn’t have a reservation” when we spoke to someone an hour before about our reservation time. The ACTUAL hostess came and we were seated. The place looks nice, but the service is terrible. We waited over an hour to place an entree order. Not to receive the food, but to PLACE AN ORDER. Ridiculous. This was already AFTER we waited 30 minutes for our appetizers to come out. As I stated before we had a party of 4. Only 2 plates came out and 1 side order. One of the entrees was incorrect but since we waited so long we just decided to ask for the bill because 2 hours have passed at this point. When the waitress comes back she tells us she didn’t forget about the 3rd entree, but the chef in the back said “he don’t have time to make a salad”. Absolutely disgusting behavior and disgraceful service. The 3rd entree that we did not receive was their Caribbean Salad…on their menu….listed under the entree offers , so you could imagine all of our confusion when we heard this.i spoke to the manager and she offered a free cake since it was our mothers birthday dinner and to speak to the chef. The bill came up to $252 with automatic gratuity/service charge as expected. For an establishment to automatically charge gratuity for parties 2 and more, their customer service should be up to par. Overall terrible experience and service. I would definitely not recommend to dine here.

This location was okay. It was my birthday and my friend, suggested the location. I could return again but it’s not a pressing desire. It took us about 45 min to get our first appetizer plate because everything we ordered wasn’t available but that wasn’t told to us until 10 min after ordering the item. So on our 3rd try we finally lucked out to an item that they did have. They also didn’t have the drink I initalially ordered. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night and they hadn’t restocked or didn’t want to restock . The music was nice bit a little too loud. You have to talk loudly to the person at your table to hear what is being said. By the time we did get our food though it was good.

I visited this place for the first time on June 7, 2021. They’re open late and we’re playing the best R&B music, service was super slow- I mean it was late (like midnight ) on a Monday night. Once our waitress began talking to us more, she made some great food recommendations and told us the best nights to return. These honey garlic shrimp were delicious!! I would definitely return and recommend

Absolutely authentic Jamaica food here. The chefs and staffs are amazing, generous and friendly. If you are looking for down to earth food, Sandz is a no wrong choice.

Took my husband here for his birthday because I heard it was a nice place. We really enjoyed ourselves. The bartender was very friendly. Food and drinks was nice. We will definitely come back.
