Got the chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken in the sandwich was a bit small for my preference but still very good. Fries were warm and tasted fresh. Very fast service and short wait time for food. The seating area’s nice although pretty hot in the Austin summer weather. I assume it’d be nicer in the fall. Will come back to try the burgers and ice cream 🙂

OMG!!! Had a double burger fries and a drink I believe it was the Sandy’s Special it was about $12. Oh and don’t forget to try their frozen custard you will not regret it. Everything was really delicious and we can’t wait to go back.

The Burgers are incredible. I opted for the double burger with cheese. That’s what I will do in the future also. Fries are similar to McDonald’s, very good. Malts and shakes are excellent. Service could be more friendly. Atmosphere is not why you come here. 🙂

In business since 1946, it’s hard to beat a burger and soft serve from Sandy’s. Love the crisp char on the burger. Tried the chili cheese dog today and it was pretty much perfect. Good spot when you’re craving a simple burger.

I know I shouldn’t but I can’t help feeding the birds when I make a trip to Sandys. Food is still great. Prices continue to go up. Austin stays busy but happy that sandys still taste like It did when I was kid.

Nothing says Austin better than a Sandy’s, totally worth the wait in line, and 100° weather. Absolutely delicious.

I can only comment on the soft serve ice cream. I had a waffle cone with chocolate soft serve dipped in chocolate shell. I loved it. Hope to have a burger and fries there too some day. It’s obviously an institution having to get in line on a Wednesday night. It’s not fair to rate the atmosphere since it’s a walk up stand, but as far as stands go, it’s great.
