I went here based on the raving reviews of the Gluten Free donuts and I can tell you — this ain’t it!! The staff was VERY friendly which I appreciated but the donut was extremely sub par. It reminded me of reheated frozen katz gluten free donuts with a cheap mediocre glaze. Maybe the regular donuts are good- I don’t know I didn’t eat them – but if you truly want fresh squishy GF donuts, skip this place.

This was our first time visiting, and from the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted. The cashier was incredibly patient as we took our time looking through all the donut options which they have a great variety. Once we placed our order, he explained that all donuts are made fresh to order and even asked if we needed any cutlery, plates, or napkins. He also gave us a heads up that the donuts come out very hot, which we appreciated.
We didn’t wait more than five minutes before our order was ready. Everything was fresh, super moist, and had a subtle crispy exterior that we loved. They’re not overly sweet, which made them even more enjoyable. We tried the glazed, the Strawberry Stallion, the blueberry, and the chocolate glaze, and every single one was amazing.

Sandy Pony bakes excellent doughnuts – great variety, they taste amazing. This was my first visit and I am no a loyal customer. What stood out for me on this visit was the terrific customer service. The Sandy Pony team made sure I had the right variety for my event and I delivered warm doughnuts to my clients… yes, warm doughnuts!!!!!

Stopped in for a half dozen. They will write on the box what you ordered in case you need the reference later. Piping hot doughnuts so it was a bit messy but a good solid donut.

Cake donuts, they were fresh, the glaze was just right and everything tasted good. I think the presentation is a little mediocre which worried me on the taste but turned out good. I only gave a 4 start because they only have cake donuts and the price is a little up there. For a specialty shop the folks behind the counter were great, the price was fair and the food was good.

We recently brought their Apple Cider Cinnamon donuts to my son’s class celebration and they were an absolute hit. Had a fabulous visit today and was wowed by the owner and his business friend from Loony Bin BBQ. Delicious combo of donut meets East Carolina pulled pork was my meal of choice before a movie. Definitely get there, both places, if you get a chance.
Sandy Pony Donuts has unique flavors that are as beautiful to the eye as they are to the palette. Fun names followed by toppings will just leave you undecided for quite some time. Very much worth the cost because they are made fresh to order. Be prepared to devour the most sweetest concoction to your mouth yet.
One of the photos here is a donut meets East Carolina pulled pork meal. Loony Bin BBQ folks drop by on occasion for a mash-up and I’m glad I was there for their visit today.

Nothing compares to a fresh, yeast donut but due to gluten sensitivity, these are pretty good. Chocolate glazed had a weird taste and aftertaste but the strawberry sprinkles were fantastic. Made to order and hot and fresh.
