I ordered the 20oz. Prime rib , rare.
The wife got steak tips. The tips were awesome, the prime rib came medium and chewy. There were 4 dessert options. They only had one. Cheesecake. It came out frozen on a 6 in h side plate alone no garnish or drizzle or whipped cream.
Great staff, service and atmosphere.
Just need to work on prime rib and dessert.

I attended an open mic. Arriving early, I had a special, the stuffed scrod and scallops. Amazingly large and VERY good. The only way it could be improved would be to offer a reduced portion at a lower price. The room is vaulting and warm.

We hosted our wedding afterparty at The Sandwich Taverna, and it was the perfect spot to keep the celebration going! Thanos was fantastic to work with—so accommodating, responsive, and easygoing throughout the entire planning process.

The afterparty bites were delicious, and the vibes and music were exactly what we were looking for. Our guests had an amazing time, and it was the ideal way to wind down the night after our Cape Cod wedding.

If you’re looking for a laid-back, fun, and well-run venue for an afterparty or event, we highly recommend The Sandwich Taverna!

A couple of months ago, a friend and I stopped into Sandwich Taverna for dinner and drinks at the bar. The experience seemed fine at the time, but a few days later my bank reached out because the tip added to my bill was highly unusual…a 42% tip, far above the 20% ($9.50) I originally wrote in.

I immediately called Sandwich Taverna. They told me the manager would look into it and assured me it was probably an honest mistake. They did end up reversing the entire tip, but still claimed it was accidental.

I’m not sure how you accidentally change a $9.50 tip to $20, and it’s concerning that the bartender responsible still works there. It makes me wonder how many people haven’t noticed or haven’t been notified by their bank.

Just a heads-up for anyone visiting: check your receipts and your statements carefully.

Great family restaurant with lots of space. They have great burger options, and it comes with tots! Reasonable prices and wait staff is always great.

They have a maximum 3 slice of pizza rule. Went here for dinner because it was the only place open at the time although I’ve already heard terrible things about the place. Me and my sister got 3 slices of pizza each(there the size of one normal slice of pizza) tipped them six dollars, asked for ranch… they declined and said if the boss wasn’t sitting at the bar they would have got it for me, I went up to get a drink(worst rum and pineapple I’ve ever had…don’t know what was in it) and asked for one more slice and they said there’s a three slice maximum per person!! Crazy never been cut off from slices at a bar so I asked the table next to me to go get me one and I’d give them a dollar, the bartender “caught me” and said absolutely not, I’ve never seen a buisness not want to make money or have a returning customer, they threw 4 pizzas away at the end of the night.

A great place to go for lunch and dinner in Sandwich! Diverse menu options to satisfy everyone in your group. I’ve enjoyed everything ordered but my favorite is the twisted tuna melt!

Breakin’ the law doesn’t seem to phase the Manager or the owner despite gladly showing the ADA FAQ page as the manager blatantly lied, stated I was belligerent (to which the definition is: hostile & aggressive – nothing that matched my attempt at educating the defensive manager who was the dismissive one & did not make an effort to review the ADA FAQ site I willingly displayed on my phone.
I also explained that I actually educate schools & facilities about ADA laws, specifically regarding Service Animals so that this type of situation can be avoided. I stated that I have had conversations with the Board of Health (Nate or Nathan- I have a TBI names are difficult) in Hyannis/Mashpee who has distributed emails to business owners on what can/cannot be asked/done which is an exact excerpt from the ADA site because of the confusion & large number of Fake SD’s.

1) I was only asked if he was a service dog after being seated.
2) I was then told I needed to show papers or registration to which I said “no, those are fake”.
3) the manager then returned and & said “he’s supposed to wear a vest”, I stated a polite “no, you can go by behavior as those can all be purchased on Amazon and even Walmart”.

As she got flustered, I said let me show you the ADA laws FAQ’s which explicitly answered her requests, each giving the exact answers provided, she is the one who began to get angered since they did not obviously know the laws.

I told her that she was causing my anxiety to rise & I was physically shaking. She stated that she too was shaking, but it was obvious hers was from anger & frustration because she was proven wrong. Some can’t handle this, she is “some” as is the owner.

Mind you I was there to get a simple meal with my niece. My Service Dog was Board and Trained and I explained that he is performing as such. Those who know, a Board and Trained SD costs more than a Honda Civic (I’ve honestly contemplated naming my next SD Honda).

Now at this point, the manager stated that “she has to call the owner and I said ok, please do.
I stated, I would call the police for harassment & refusal of access which they can be cited for.

She then returned, said the owner wants me to leave because he has the right to refuse service, I said no, by law I cannot be refused service as it’s an ADA violation. I asked “please tell me what I have done, because you’re violating an ADA law by refusing access to me which is a federal violation”.

I asked the Bartender for help, she told me “I can call myself if I needed help”.
WOW. JUST WOW! Who does this?!?
Clearly this staff needs a brush up on customer service, typically when a person asks for help, you assist…especially when they are a woman, let’s not even add that I’m a disabled individual.

Well, 30 minutes & a terrible attempt at an apology later we enter and I get my niece a meal and ice tea for me because I’m still shaken up for the experience.

While my niece said her meal was delicious, she said “that manager should not be one because she was terrible”. Note: her meal and my ice tea was not even comped and I still over tipped. Sorry right? You would think they would at least offer to give a COMPLIMENTARY meal, but no….what a slap in the face and an obvious sign from the manager and staff that they are NOT truly APOLOGETIC!!!

I wrote “please do better in the future”, hopefully for the next legitimate Handler and SD team.

FYI, they allowed a Fake SD to dine with a couple just two weeks earlier & VIOLATE Board of Health laws as the FAKE SERVICE DOG was seated on the booth bench & was permitted to eat off the table. It’s clear this establishment needs a meeting as it clearly lacks education in more than 1 field.

But here, my Mobility SD immediately tucked upon approaching the booth, went to sleep, and we were refused access because we did everything right.

By the way, I didn’t take my electric wheelchair as it’s hard to maneuver in there so I used my cane (I know because I dined in there 3x before with my SD…the same manager sat us).

We love this place as a stopping point on the way to the Cape. Cheryl gives the greatest service with a smile, a joke or two and a welcoming charm. I had the Cowboy Burger… Yumm!!! Definitely making this stop whenever we are this way. You should too!

Made this a stop again on the way to the Cape for Playoff weekend. This time we had friends meet us there too. We like to sit at the bar; Michelle was out bar server. We enjoyed our food. (I’m adding in more photos). We would have stayed a bit longer but there was another patron at the end of the bar dropping the “F” bomb every other word. Another patron suggested he stop and his reply was “there’s no F… ING kids here.” It was so obnoxious and we left feeling staff should have reigned him in. There were several patrons at tables that were also subjected to his behavior.

The bar is a beautiful place in Sandwich – the food is okay, the beer selection good but altogether nothing special. A solid American Family Restaurant.
The waitress tonight was the highlight. Very friendly and attentive!
