First time trying Japanese milk bread (shokupan) and its a richer and softer version of regular white bread. This fluffy and moister version really elevates these delicious sandwiches.
Tried their KFC (double fried halal chicken thigh) and it was amazing. Super flavorful with the gochujang sauce and pickled cucumber and slaw and all its contrasting textures.
Their tonkatsu (panko crusted pork tenerloin) sando was equally excelllent, but dont overlook the curry dip. This added another level of flavor and umami-ness!
Luv that this quaint spot is clean and pleasant place to visit. The staff and owner are A+ on customer service!!!

The sandos and food were absolutely delicious!! We ordered the KFC and Bulgogi sandos, both were very yummy. The KFC had a really good crunch to it. We were also kindly gifted the Ube Crème fruit sando, which was also very good. Overall great food and service experience!

They were so accommodating with a fish allergy. Giving us extra mild sauce instead of the kimchi aoli. The bulgogi bowl was really tasty, balanced, and filling but please go and get the ube cream fruit Sando. It’s so incredibly delicious and shareable. We each took a half and it was more than enough. When we ordered one to go to take home, he was kind enough to add a banana creme Sando for free. Thank you so much for the great food and service, Sando Street. We will be back!

Great service + great sandos! You can tell they care about their patients and their quality.
It was clean inside, with art on the walls, and simple seating options. You can come as a group, couple, or individual.
I had the egg salad sando, eggplant curry, and banana pudding sando.
Everything was tasty, but ESPECIALLY the eggplant curry . Definitely would come back.

Walking in to the 90s hip hop was the first sign. The line of people waiting for pick up was the 2nd. This place is GREAT! They did take a bit of time, but it was busy and they were very communicated about the timing.
Sandos (sammiches) are super tasty and flavorful, and whatever they do to get that bread that way… *chefs kiss*
Savory sandwiches are good… cream/fruit ones are a MUST eat. Ube = Japanese purple sweet potato = Legendary

Cute spot inside a house on Ashland outside of wicker. Has a host of Japanese sandos that pay homage to the classics you’d get in Japan. We got the KFC Sando and the limited time Tonkatsu Curry Bowl, both were great. The sauce on the KFC was fantastic with great flavor and heat without soaking the bread which was perfectly soft. Pork and chicken were tender and crispy. Sweet potato chips that came with the sandwich were also delicious and not oily – just right amount of sweet. We’d come back to try the Tamago and fruit sandos! Go check this one out.

First visit and happy. We had a katsu sando and a KFC sando and took home the ube and matcha dessert sandos. The sandos come with sweet potato chips which are crisp and simple. The KFC was really balanced – sometimes something like this is over-sauced but here it was the right amount to have heat without blow away spicy. Pickles added crunch. Service was relatively quick and attentive, despite an ongoing cadence of both eat-in and carryout / doordash type orders. Surprised they don’t have a public rest room though.

Bless you Sando Street for saving two hangry people! The egg sando was light and fluffy, the tokatsu was flavorful with good chew, and the ube strawberry was fresh and not too sweet, though I’ll never be a big cream sandwich fan. Personal favorite is the egg.
The staff were also super friendly, they went above and beyond to help us get our order. So glad we got to try it!

I ordered a Tonkatsu sando for dine-in and an Ube Crème sando to go. The Tonkatsu was really crispy and flavorful. Bread was soft and went so well with the crispiness of the tonkatsu. You also get a side of delicious and perfectly salted Japanese sweet potato chips, which are made in house. The Ube sando was perfectly sweetened and such a perfect sweet treat. It held up well on the way home as well. Prices are on the more expensive end, but nothing too unreasonable. Service was amazing, it seemed like they love to take care of their customers! Only complaint I have is that the music was too loud for my taste while dining in.

Great customer service!!!
Quality of the food is fresh and tasty!
The Bulgogi, KFC, and Tonkatsu is my go to for bowl or sandwich.
For dessert, all the Fruit Sandos are amazing! I love all of them, the Ube, Matcha, and Banana Crème are a great finish to a tasty meal!
Suggest just a small group can dine in.
Larger group should order carry out.
Easy to go for your meal if you have left overs.
Wish I could order the sandwiches as a catering party tray for my family party.
I recommend this to all my family and friends!
One downside is just street parking, no parking lot. It would be hard to pick up quick carry out.
No bathroom inside, but can use the fancy Hyatt Hotel bathroom next door.
