My favorite things about the Sandbar was the atmosphere (comfortable outdoor and indoor dining), the presentation of my entree, and that they brought queso with my chips and salsa. I’ve never had queso served complimentary before, so that was a treat, and the queso was really yummy! However, everything on my plate was spicy, so I could barely eat it, but if you like spicy, you would probably love it! So that’s my fault, I should’ve asked. However, I asked the server what roja ground beef meant in English and she said, “It’s regular ground beef.” Well, the ground beef in my crunchy taco was red and spicy. The Mexican rice was also spicy, as well as the chicken enchilada. When I removed the red sauce off of the top of the chicken enchilada it was really good and not too spicy. The chicken and the ground beef were of high-quality, too. For you spicy lovers, it wasn’t super spicy, just too spicy for me. It’s a very good restaurant that came highly recommended by other businesses in the area. I am not from California, so I’m not used to the true Mexican flavors.

This place has like a lil jungle/beach vibe LoL… Open and airy with great ambience. Would love to go back in the evening when it’s dark. Food was really good and nice sized portion for the price. I had the 3 piece combo plate (enchilada, taco & chili relleno with rice and beans). Drinks are good. Casual spot with a upscale feel. It’s located in a shopping area with a bunch of other stores and restaurants. Street parking (metered) and parking lot garage available.

Exceptional food and efficient/friendly service. When our waitress brought out the complimentary fresh chips, salsa and bean dip, I knew the food would be just as delicious. The El Burrito Supreme (with chicken machaca) and Fresh Fish Tacos were both amazing.

This is a popular restaurant downtown. Had an opportunity to sneak in. I had a couple Spicy Mango Margaritas. They go down pretty easily with a perfect blend of spice, sweet and salt (from the Tajin) chips with queso and salsa were a good starter. Queso was fantastic and the chips had extra salt which I like personally.

This place has great Mexican food dishes . I had the “ sinaloa enchiladas “ with shrimp and fish . They were delicious. It was a combination of green creamy poblano salsa and other ingredients. We also love the black beans they give you as an appetizer with the chips when you order your drinks. Nice vibe the heaters also make you feel very comfortable specially when is cold . The mango margarita was tasty .

Sandbar is definitely a good time! We came here for dinner and ended up staying for some drinks and dancing. The place is really nicely decorated it has a great atmosphere. The food is very good as well! Everything I tried was very good including the crispy shrimp tacos. So if you’re looking for a place to have dinner or maybe go someplace after dinner in Huntington Beach this would be at. Around 10 PM on the weekend they have a DJ that comes in and the place turns war into a club like feel. It’s a lot of fun
