Finally we found that we could order for pickup with the slice app. Ordering was simple. When the app said the pizza was done I sent my son to pickup. He had the most bizarre experience when he got there. There were only 2 employees there in the kitchen, clearly visible to my son. He tried to get their attention to let them know he was there for pickup but they went out of there way to ignore him. Like literally averting thier eyes, doing all they could to pretend he wasn’t there. My son saw them start to make our pizza even though it was supposed to already be done. Then one of them finally addresses him and asks who the order is for. The guy looks at the screen for a while like he can’t find it, even though my son said they were only making our 1 pizza, so it’s not a long list of orders. Then goes oh, here you are. They made him stand there for 15 minutes, unacknowledged before even making eye contact. I’m no expert on customer service but I would think greeting the only customer standing in your business is a good place to start. Made us feel very unwanted.
So pizza was great, but the overall experience left us never wanting to return.
The pizza alone impressed me so much that I actually slowed down to enjoy every bite (and I usually eat fast). The flavor had real depth — definitely not your typical chain pizza like Domino’s or fast food. This is an experience, not just a meal.
The inside atmosphere is wonderful too, with a genuine, welcoming vibe. They even have a bar that will be serving drinks once they fully open. On top of pizza, they’ll be offering pasta, wings, and much more. If the rest of the menu is anything like the pizza, it’s going to be fantastic.
Sanctuary Pizza is the kind of place that deserves real support. I don’t recommend restaurants lightly, but this is quality food with an experience to match. Give them a try — you won’t regret it!
That said, this visit had some hiccups. I had to wait over an hour from the time I arrived… and that was after ordering about an hour earlier. Turns out they ran out of pizza boxes and had to go grab more. To their credit, they comped me some wings and fries while I waited, which was a nice gesture and showed good hospitality. The wings were solid, crispy with decent seasoning, and the fries were fresh.
There’s no indoor seating (at least when I’ve been), so it’s strictly a pickup or outdoor vibe for now, which works, but makes long waits a little tougher.
Overall, I’ll be back…. because when they’re firing on all cylinders, the pizza is worth it. But hoping the logistics get a little smoother next time.
I loved your pizza for 20 years. Who ever is making your pizza messed up. It was overly oily
And because of this the crust was soggy perhaps rushed and undercooked.
I had to convince my co workers this is not the norm.
The flavor was on point like usual, congrats on your new building it looks amazing
They where very nice ,polite. No complaints there
