I ordered today the Cali Burrito which has fries, carne asada and guacamole. I am attaching 2 pictures. This Burrito was mostly (90%) fries, 10% carne asada and 2 teaspoons of guacamole. I paid $16 plus tip. I feel ripped off. This Burrito should not be called Cali Burrito. Thats an insult!! It should be called French Fry Burrito. Sancho, look up a place called Saluyitas in San Diego and see what a real Cali Burrito looks like.

We are frequent customers here & happy to have this in the area! I have yet to have a bad menu item. This is fresh and authentic Mexican- the house salsas are all so good. Tonight we tried the $45 meal deal for a liter of marg (or soda), chips&salsa, two orders of 4 tacos (you can mix and match) and two churros. Delicious as always and great price. Get the churros. Have to.

Dined 4x during my 1-week stay for business travel. Tried every restaurant in the immediate vicinity of Hampton Inn and I can say Sancho’s is my favorite. Love the ambiance and the menu. Will come back if given another chance.

I wish could have eaten here more than once during my visit! The chimichanga was absolutely delicious. The al pastor was tender and well-seasoned, while the whole chimichanga was doused in a flavorful sauce. I can only imagine how good the other menu items taste.

We stop in north boulder to meet the kids. They know their mama LOVES Mexican food so they pick Sanchos (hubby suffers but goes along like a champ!). It’s in a strip mall and not large. You order off the menu which reminds me of La Estrella in Larryville. I choose a Colorado burrito (choice of meat, beans, sour cream, guac, onions) with side of refried beans, margarita, guacamole and chips and hubby orders 2 chicken tamales and a Modelo Especial. Kids order their faves and (how sweet) they offer to pay!!!! PUT YOUR CARD AWAY! MOM’S HERE! ☺️ we get our drinks and sit down at a no frills table and chairs. Food arrives via server (please tip at the register) and WOW, all my senses are tingling and jingling with bated breath. The burrito is a medley of everything I love: gooey cheese, hot sour cream and guacamole and spicy beans with a hint of “salsa-fied” chicken. Just makes my tingling and jingling intensify. Magnificent! The guacamole is probably a 4 out of 5. I’ve had better. It is homemade but there’s no lime taste. The chips were fantastic! When I bit into one it broke off immediately with a light salty taste instead of eating it like it was on an assembly line to get the full flavor. This delivered in one bite. My margarita? Ok, I’ve had some damn good ones. Folks, this was out of a dispenser (normally UGH). Whoever made the batch should be canonized. Full on taste the tequila before I tasted the lemon-lime mixer. Seriously, quite the surprise. Hubby’s 2 chicken tamales were excellent-HE SHARED! doughy outer layer with an inner tender, moist chicken wrapped in the traditional husks. Prices are very affordable. The atmosphere is cafeteria tables and chairs and no music nor frills. While I enjoy atmosphere, I truly enjoy a food atmosphere more. This place is absolutely worth visiting if you’re in the area. And if you’re staying in the area book a room at twin lakes Boulder Inn. Perfect combo!

UPDATE: $8.90 for a SIDE of rice and beans!
Literally for a “scoop” of each…. A SIDE OF RICE AND BEANS for $8.90!!!
We’ve been coming here for decades — ever since the old strip center near the DMV. This has always been one of our favorite gunbarrel neighborhood spots.
That’s why it makes me sad to write this. Over the past year, the prices have gone up quite a bit. A plain 3-cheese enchilada plate that used to be $12.95 is now $15.50. For two plates, with tip, our bill came out to about $40, with no beverages. That’s starting to make it tough for us to keep coming as often as we used to.
We absolutely love the food and have always appreciated this restaurant as a family-friendly place in Gunbarrel. We really hope we’ll be able to keep coming back when we’re craving your dishes — but at these prices, it’s becoming more of a “special treat” than the regular spot it used to be for us.

Parking situation is nice and easy. Big parking lot which was convenient to get in and out of. The Birria tacos were so amazing. I couldn’t stop thinking about them after eating them. Very comforting and well balanced. Some of the best Birria tacos I’ve had in the state hands down! The margarita was decent. Definitely will be back for more tacos. The inside was chill with plenty of seating and comfy. Bodies by farny approved tacos for sure!!!!

We’ve been coming here for years well before it was in gunbarrel however, I agree with other customers that say the prices have continuously increased. Things are very expensive. I just paid $26 for two smothered breakfast burritos that is outrageously expensive. Also, online menus do not match the prices when you get into the store. the lady who is the manager is not very kind doesn’t smile very often and acts like we are doing her a favor. Super disappointed, we don’t have very many places to eat in gunbarrel and the food is delicious but the prices are out of control and we are not gonna be able to go as often as we used to. What a bummer.

I couldn’t be happier that Sancho’s opened up a new location in the Gunbarrel neighborhood of Boulder. They make very flavorful and traditional Mexican food, and easily have the tastiest and best variety for a Taco Tuesday in all of Boulder. Sancho’s also serves a few beers on draft along with a house margarita if you are looking to wash down their food with an adult beverage. I personally am a big fan of their California burrito. It’s hearty and is packed with perfectly seasoned shredded beef along with some french fries which add a great starchy crunch. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for really delicious and well priced Mexican food.

Worst Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. Its basically Mexican fast food made on an assembly line. I ordered the nachos and it had melted jack cheese and refried beans. I asked for nacho cheese and whole beans. I would NOT recommend. Disgusting!
