We travel a lot around Europe, but my search for good food in Blackpool proved to be a major letdown. The best options appear to be average Italian restaurants, such as San Marcos, which serve very basic, home-style dishes. And even these simple eateries require weekend reservations. While the waiting time was a bit long, the service was otherwise commendable, and the food ranged from good to average. Considering the simplicity of the cuisine relative to the prices, the price-to-performance ratio is a mere 2 stars.
However, the overall experience of eating out in Blackpool was a significant letdown, leading us to predominantly cook our own meals.

The food was amazing, the prices are reasonable and the staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially Elena, after an altercation with another customer regarding my son. She was straight on it and dealt with the situation so professionally and was fair. We will be returning.

I visited with my two kids, and we all had a fantastic time. The food was exceptional – I ordered the lamb shank with garlic potatoes, and it was a perfect 10/10. The lamb was cooked to perfection, tender, and just fell off the bone, while the garlic potatoes complemented the dish beautifully.

Four of us visited San Marcos last night We had delicious food and wine.The staff where lovely and service was excellant.The setting was relaxed with lovely decor.

Booked a table last week when we were in Blackpool on holiday for the week and took our grandchildren in with us as they both love Italian food. This was our first time eating in here and I must say the whole family really enjoyed the food and the service. Our waiter was called Tony (I think….born in Paisley!) and he was brilliant with us describing the dishes we chose perfectly for us. Lovely atmosphere,service was quick and it’s now “our place to go to in Blackpool!”. I ordered stuffed mushrooms as a starter and for my main I chose the lasagne which was brilliant. My wife and grandson shared bruchetta for starter where my grandson and granddaughter chose penne pasta and tomato sauce and my wife took the 10″ margarita pizza. My grandson fancied chocolate chip cookie for his desert which he wolfed down.If your in the town believe me you must try this restaurant as each dish is delicious!

We booked a few hours in advance and we’re seated upstairs on a tiny table for 2 against a wall, the place was very noisy and hot as it was full. The food was very good, wine great and service all good, the lamb needed more cooking and should have been served with little gravy as it was slightly dry.
I would return as it was a really nice place but will asked to be sat downstairs as this was half empty and just overall cooler, no noise and more space…

Had fillet steak for mains with garlic potatoes and it was absolutly incredible.
All the staff were fantastic especially Steve who was very helpful and attentive to our every needs.
Will be back numerous times.

16 people are here on a busy Saturday night and it was really great. Food was lovely and the service was fab!
