Avoid this place. Food is not authentic. Ordered menudo, queso fundido with chorizo, and cheese stuffed Chile rellenos; the last two had no real cheese in them. Instead they were made with a cheese sauce so watery, you’d have better luck getting real cheese at taco bell for comparison. The menudo was tough as if the pieces weren’t fully thawed or heated through. Waitress was attentive with service but the food failed. I suggest you go to other Mexican restaurants in the area for a more authentic taste.

Was very happy with everything. Food choices are great. Quality is good, prices are a little high. Service was excellent. Only complaint is the fried ice cream isn’t that good.

Victor was by far the best server we’ve had in forever.
We are a huge family with lots of demands he went above and beyond all the demands of us and our kids never bothered him did he continue to happily serve us through our Meal. Literally can’t describe what a great experience we had

Place managed very badly. They don’t respect their paying public and do not take responsibility for THEIR errors. Consider this when making your choice.
My wife said her meal was fairly tasty and not bad. The margaritas we’re really good. Our server Victor did his best and was very professional and tried to do the right thing. Can’t say that for the management. That’s where all good stops.
My order came out wrong and nowhere close to how I had ordered it which our server acknowledged. It had that cheap yucky cheese sauce on it which I explicitly stated I did not want. I took one bite of my enchilada one bite of my burrito and it was awful. By the time Victor came back and was made aware of the mistake, he offered to take it back and replace it but by this time we had been there for quite a while and my wife was halfway through her meal so I declined and just sent it back. The manager never apologized, never spoke with us and sent our server back with the bill and he said he spoke with the manager and the derelict manager said to take 1/2 of the price of the dinner off. What? He took $6 off of our $100 tab for a meal that was done completely wrong and which was not eaten. Kind of ruined the enjoyment of dinning together. This was an insult. I would never go back to this place again and I do not recommend it.

Quaint and authenticity. I can’t wait to return. Only reason I left 4, instead of 5 is because my son didn’t like his chicken and said it was bad quality. Everything else was perfect, waitress, margaritas, chips and salsa all excellent!

We have eaten at San Jose before and the food portions and quality was great. We went 1/10/26 and had Fajiatas for two. The quanity of Fajiatas was more than enough for two. Quality was highly disappointing. There was no seasoning at all on the Fajitias. I took out a piece of steak and ate it, nothing. The only flavor or spice came the the onions and peppers, no other seasoning. I used to live in San Antonio and El Paso. I know Mexican food and they fell short here.

San Jose Mexican Grill located at 463797 E State Rd 200, Yulee, FL 32097 is a solid local Mexican Restaurant. I got the beef lunch Chimichanga. It was good, though would have preferred ground beef instead of a tough piece of steak.

We had a nice lunch on black Friday after shopping. The service started out great but as soon as we got our food they never came back to the table. We had to go up and ask for a box and the check.

Our server took our order without writing it down, just going based off her memory. She got our order incorrect on what things we didnt want in our food(no guac, and the rice on the side). Then someone else brought our food instead. she never stopped by the table to ask us how we were doing nor made an appearance. Had to flag down another server to get the side of rice(this was after 15mins of waiting for our server to come check on us, but she never did). Our server quickly dropped off the side of rice, and didn’t say a word. Had no time to tell her about needing refills or about the discrepancy with the food being incorrect. We had our food for about 45mins and she finally came over and asked if everything was alright after we’ve finished’ the food. Never got refills(my husband wanted another margarita but the server never came back, and I never got more coke), and my husband ended up having to swap plates with me, because I hate guac and originally requested none to be on there. whenever she finally stopped by, I just told her we needed the check, the boxes and a drink to go. She dropped off the check and magicalllyyyyy wanted to stick around for our money. That is not how you get a tip, shes lucky we even tipped at all. To top it all off, this was our first time ever going here, so it was a real disappointment for us. besides the server experience, the steak in the burrito was bland, it had no seasoning to it whatsoever, and the burrito was mainly just rice and beans, not much meat in it at all not worth the 15.99
