Must say pleasently surprised with a great selection of beers and food, the wait for a table was long but we had the option to sit outside and that was such a great choice, it was a bit load inside with a game going into overtime, the Taco’s I had I thought they were Uber expensive until they brought it out and holy cow they were huge I was most impressed with the service even though we were out back they served us quickly & again the food was bomb , come try them out and tell them that rickthefoodcartguy sent you and enjoy.

First time here and definitely won’t be my last! I had fish and chips, hubby had a mushroom swiss burger. Both were phenomenal! But their coleslaw? That’s the gold medal right there! Should definitely try them out if you’re here.

you come into a dingy and awkwardly open bar area, the outside seating is definitely where it’s at. got greeted by a waitress who made a comment about my appearance and age. seemed to not care to make amends, barely checked on us, didn’t ask how our food or drinks were. felt incredibly disrespected. walked out by our same waitress upon leaving and was not acknowledged. we won’t be coming back. also, over priced appetizers for what you get. we got the prawn cocktail ($20) and shared the cheeseburger w/ fries ($15).

Avoid at all costs
Very unfriendly atmosphere
Children are not allowed so it is not family friendly.
Much better food across the street at El Trios Locos or at the Happy Elephant on Manzanita Ave, serving Thai and Sushi.
Since Covid they’re only open Friday to Monday 4 – 10.
You’re better off finding a bar in Nehalem, Cannon Beach , Seaside or even Bay City.
Avoid this place. Owner has been trying to sell it for years and it shows ….

We had a horrible experience at the Sans Dune!!! We were seated and given menus, but NO ONE came to ask us if we wanted drinks or order any food!!! My boyfriend and his daughter went to the bar and bought their drinks. I went to the bar with a 20.00 and waited to be served. Three people were behind the bar and either one of them asked me what I wanted to drink and they saw me standing at the bar!!! Then a young 20ish girl walks up to the bar and the servers assist her!!! I was pissed!!!
Went back to our table and still no one came to take our order!!! It was like that whole time we were there and we watched as other tables were being helped and serviced!!!
Don’t go there!!! Horrible service!!!!

This is my third time of eating at the sand dune in the last two weeks. I have gone to the sand dune for 22 years as I have a home in the area. The Sand Dune was known for good food, drinks, locals, and lots of fun. But I have watch it continue to go downhill since Covid and this last two weeks has brought me to the place where I cannot recommend this place. Food and beer is expensive and quality has gone downhill. Had a bacon cheese burger today for $18 and it was tasteless and of poor quality. Burger King or McDonald’s does a better job. Had fish (cod) and chips previously for $26 and, while okay, you could get same meal at Riverside Fish and Chips in Nehalem for $18 (cod) or $26 (halibut) and a can of beer is $6 vs $8 for a pint. Hitting a restaurant once may result in a false review because of unknown events. But three times in two weeks? The odds of an unusual event is greatly diminished. Loved the Dune, but can’t say that now. Go elsewhere if you want a quality meal at a lower cost. If convenience is your objective, then you may not have much of a choice.

Happily accommodated our large group. Friendly staff and good food. Seems like the kind of place that will stay open past “closing” as long as the place is still full. Great beer selection.

Nice little spot in Manzanita. We just stopped in for a drink. The place is pub-ish with dark wood. They have an outside patio to enjoy on a nice day. I’d say they are a bit pricey for drinks compared to other places North and South off 10. The beach down the way is a popular place to fly a kite so if you take a stroll that way you’ll likely see many of them flying.

Excellent food and I mean excellent!!! Avoid ordering the Long Island and if you want the sweetest waitress ever ask for Christine. Young long haired waitress is not friendly. Great atmosphere and they allow dogs on the back patio.
