This isn’t related to the old Samurai Sushi that used to be on Cambie (I asked), but they kept the tradition of having very big portions as their signature.
The price point is very decent and of course they have very generous portions. While the sushi is okay, their sizes are the largest. The staff that work here are super nice, so that’s a nice touch.

Absolutely ridicules portion sushi rolls. 2 rolls is honestly comparable to 4-5. Price is super fair, priced the same as regular sushi else where, but you’re getting a roll that will fill you up. 2 is plenty at this place.

They made a mistake with my order but it’s too far for me to go back. Food is still okay. I just don’t like when the sushi makers are laughing and talking while making the orders, saliva spray goes to the food. Sorry, my OCD was triggered.

I called it a take-out sushi place and not a restaurant. It has only 3 small tables for people to dine in.
Good to serve with hot tea but no air conditioning for warm sunny day in vancouver.
Ordered a deluxe sushi combo and a tuna don bowl, all fish were cut thick, big and very fresh, perfectly balanced with its sushi rice.
We will definitely come back for take out only in hot warm days.

I ordered a spicy salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll. The quality difference between the two was pretty dramatic to the point were I genuinely could not eat the tuna roll. I am not usually the type to return food but I had to return the tuna roll. The customer service was excellent however, and they made me a salmon roll as a replacement. The rice is too sticky. Aside from that It’s a good bang for ur buck type place, so if that’s what you are after this spot works!

I came back today after few years but I was disappointed in their service. The ladies at front were nice and kind but not the 3 chefs at this sushi place. I was sitting at the bar in front of them, waiting for my food to be done. They talked to each other and teased me in their own language but I understood everything. I think it’s fair for everyone treating to each other nicely. If you can’t treat someone nice, then just keep quiet and work hard. I am giving one star because that’s the lowest one I can give. I rather pay for quality not quantity. Thanks and good luck.

I’ve been a customer for years, I feel like their quality has been declining for the past year.
Today I ordered a maki combo c which comes with spicy tuna roll, it was inedible.
Stringy and chewy and smells stale-fishy. It looks like it has some silver skin too, I wonder if this is like the scrap ends near the tail. Just bad.

It took a while to wait for our takeout. We’d walked in to order and were probably low on the list. It was a hot day and it was impossible to wait inside because of the heat (no AC; not even a fan). On the bright side, the service is friendly and the food is good.
