This place is fantastic. Everything we had was amazing. The chicken wipes were breaded, fried and served with a side of hot sauce. With or without the sauce these may be the best wings I have ever had. The grilled tilapia was served with grilled onions, bell peppers and a couple if shrimp. s extremely good as well. The meals come with two sides. We had the coleslaw and green beans. The prices were outstanding, great value.

I eat here regularly. I always order whole catfish and it’s always good. I had a taste for chicken gizzards. The texture was really good but they were too salty!! Please cut back on the salt, thank you!!

Got wings, fries and hushpuppies via door dash, which is generally a no-no for fried food but whatever I did it anyway. Then my driver got pulled over by the cops. Nightmare scenario. I’m ready for my day to be ruined. How wrong I was. Everything was still warm, crispy, and delicious. I can only imagine how good it would be if I ate it straight from the restaurant. Oh and the price was reasonable, too. Gotta go back.

I gave them 2 stars because though the customer service was great the flavor in the food just wasn’t. The fish was fried to perfection but the flavor and seasoning wasn’t there. The green beans were terrible. The smell was over powering with what smelled like garlic. The taste was even worse. The red beans and rice were okay just not warm enough. Would I eat here again? Sure, but probably no time soon. Maybe I’ll try something different!

The po-boys, fried fish, and fried shrimp, we’ve had were good. Larger shrimp than we expected, for sure.

Not a bad thing – just a thing the salad-lovers need to know – the ‘salads’ are more a ‘plate with sides that include salad’ than a bowl situation. See my photo of the plate with grilled shrimp – that is a “grilled shrimp salad” according to the menu. It was good – just diff.

Most southern local fried food places don’t have grilled options, but this one does. Awesome news if your fam likes fried food, but Dad doesn’t have a gall bladder!

As far as the service goes, we only saw one server both times we’ve been. Slow lunch = no problem. Saturday evening dinner with a rush = we had problems. Our entrees came out before our appetizer. Nothing they brought to the table had the condiment or sauce it was supposed to have, and getting the salad dressings, cocktail, tartar, refills, and such took a while…while we sat there looking at our food. We’ve had a super nice waitress both times we’ve gone, but I will probably to-go until they have worked out the front-of-house kinks.

Today, my wife and two sisters stopped by to give this place a try. I was impressed with the broad and varied menu and we each ordered something different. The service was fast and served hot straight from the fryer and the grill. Everything was fresh and plentiful. It was served in to go boxes and for dining in I would have preferred to have it as a typical sit down meal served with actual plates and utensils. However with the large portion, it saved time having to wait on a to go box, as it was already in one! I will definitely make many more return trips and can’t wait to try some of the other menu items available. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I tried this place because it resembled a restaurant in my home town of St Peters Mo. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was in fact the same chain. the food was excellent it was hot well prepared and it tastes great. I think it’s a definite place to revisit. you need to try the gumbo it’s amazing.
