Just ate here for the first time while driving through tonight.
There was hardly anyone there, and it was pretty cozy and decently clean. Server was wonderful!
We both ordered the #19, 2 pieces of catfish and 6 shrimp. Highly recommend. It came with two sides.
I would have given it 5 stars, but a couple of things turned me off to that extra star.
First, we ordered fried pickles for an appetizer, but they came out 2 minutes before our actual food did. So not much of an appetizer, but more something that accompanied the dinner. The fried coating on them was yummy, and they were hot, but the pickles themselves were hard and felt rubbery and old.
The catfish was over cooked and a bit rubbery as well, but the flavor was SO good.
The food was pretty inexpensive, especially for the grilled shrimp quality, which was amazing.
We usually stop at Nick’s but they were closed. I would still probably choose Nick’s over this place, but this is a solid second choice for when we drive through this area.
The friendly waitress and hot, inexpensive food, with amazing grilled shrimp and a tasty fried food coating has me giving this place a solid 4.

This might be the most worth-it/best tasting cajun food in the area. If you happen to be around downtown Denison I highly recommend trying this place.
The food itself has amazing flavor and texture, while the portions are arguably insane. From the tartar and cocktail sauce to fried fish and chicken, it’s all made with as much flavor as possible without overdoing it.
The service was also outstanding, considering I witnessed the server helping an older lady who seemed to be trying to frustrate her. She kept her composure and helped her with everything she needed, then immediately came over to us with a happy attitude. The food came out in the most reasonable amount of time also.
Lastly the only “negative” thing I can say about this place is the building needs a little TLC, but that can’t happen if you don’t give them business. So go try it if you haven’t yet!

The grilled shrimp was delicious!! Okra, yummmy!!! Grilled tilapia was also delicious. Fried shrimp was very good.
I only gave 4 stars because, there was a terrible old grease smell, 2 people in our group ordered red beans and rice and were brought baked beans, that tasted like lighter fluid. The waitress didn’t notice. When told, she went and got 1 dish of rice for him to mix in. It was not what they ordered. She should have brought back 2 orders of red beans and rice. Plus, she kept complaining to every customer about owners, etc.

Good first impression. The food, service and cleanliness were all good. We shared a fried fish, chicken and shrimp platter because we weren’t that hungry and still had plenty to take home. The fish and shrimp are a little different than you typically find in texoma but was very good. The shrimp were huge. The chicken could have used a little ranch dressing or something but was good. The fries were perfect. We had the redbeans and rice for our side they were pretty good, kind of similar to Popeyes. It was kind of expensive for lunch but priced reasonable for what you get, they need reduced options for lunch. Looking forward to trying the grilled option on our next visit. I would recommend but it’s not the best in texoma.

We didn’t realize this place was a chain, but it was still a local, delicious spot. Were a bit skeptical at first trying somewhere random, but the food was amazing & the restaurant was clean and cozy. Definitely coming back.

Visited yesterday and was impressed. Clean on the inside and the food was awesome. The servers seemed like they were in training but a solid effort goes a long way.
I had shrimp, oysters and fish as my mains and I had no complaints. The red beans and rice could have been warmer but not horrible and the fried okra was solid. Our table also had fried mushrooms and cheddar peppers and there were none before the rest of the food came out.
We all agreed this was a welcomed needed thing in the area and wished we had gone here sooner but will definitely return. It beats having to go to the metroplex to find something close.

My other half and I decided to try the food via Doordash and have never ate here before. I ordered a cheesesteak with fries which ended up delicious, however I got the 2 fish 4 pc chicken meal with red beans and rice and coleslaw- i didn’t get the coleslaw at all also the fish, chicken and red beans and rice were very salty. Usually tartar sauce is supposed to help with anything that might be salty but even the tartar sauce had too much spice in it.. I got the green salad with ranch thinking the salad would have cherry tomatoes in it but everything was cut in huge chunks.. the pickles are really weird for a salad topping too..the salad pictured on the online menu is a misleading lie. I picked off everything except for the cucumbers because when I eat a salad I want a little taste of everything in one bite.. not a mouthful of each thing separately… this pregnant lady was very mad that she didn’t get her slaw.. I won’t have high expectations if we ever order from here again. i got the chicken and fish plate to share with my twin toddlers and they also didn’t like the chicken.. the fries that came with my cheesesteak was the only thing I could get them to eat.

Kinda pricey but the food was great. Very generous portions, you’re definitely going to need a to go plate for your leftovers. The restaurant looked nice inside and had a nice smell of Incense. Food tasted good too.
