Fast, friendly service. We opted to eat outside. I got eggs, bacon, toast and a waffle. My friend got eggs and biscuits and gravy. My waffle was a bit doughy/underdone. I didn’t mention it to the staff. Decent prices. Cute Tshirts for sale. Fun, quirky atmosphere inside.

Sam’s Place is a great brunch spot! We came in with a big group of 13 and they did an awesome job getting us all seated outside together, which we really appreciated. The food was amazing, everything came out fresh, tasty, and worth the visit. The only small thing was that the older lady helping us could’ve been a bit more cheerful, but overall the experience was still really good. We’d definitely come back for the food thanks yall

Usually a Favorite, But This Visit Was Off

We visited Sam’s in Lake Havasu City last month, and while we’ve had great experiences here before, this visit missed the mark.

I came in early and was seated at a table that still had a tip left on it. A staff member removed it—which I understand—but the way it was handled felt a bit uncomfortable, like I might be suspected of taking it. Then another staff member seemed concerned about the missing tip, which delayed taking my drink order. The place was nearly empty, but the staff just seemed annoyed to be there.

I ordered the scrambled eggs, and they tasted like Egg Beaters—solid yellow with no whites at all, almost like boxed eggs. Not great. The biscuits and gravy I got were also disappointing—the biscuits tasted freezer-burned, and I stopped after a few bites. My wife ordered over-easy eggs and sausage, and unfortunately, she found a hair in her eggs. To their credit, the staff did take her meal off the bill.

One thing I’ve always liked about Sam’s is their great selection of flavored coffee creamers—that’s a nice touch.

We don’t want to bash the place because we’ve had great meals here before, but this day just wasn’t it. We’ll definitely give it another try, though.

Stopped in for breakfast and had a great experience. Maddy did an excellent job—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of without being overbearing. The breakfast was really good, came out hot, and tasted fresh. Service was quick, and the overall atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot for breakfast, and I’ll be back again.

Well I don’t usually like giving bad reviews but I ordered their famous biscuits and gravy and it was the worst I’ve ever had. Besides not having any sausage in it, it was pasty and it had a strange yellow color…

My companions had a normal breakfast and that looked fine. One of my companions had a patty melt sandwich and it could have used a little bit more hamburger.

Like I said I don’t like giving bad reviews but I would not really recommend this place.

We were met at the door and immediately the waitress plopped down two menus and said you can sit here. There was no option to sit outside at all. We understand the hours of operation and they close at two and they were already chaining the chairs together out on the patio at 12:30. Waitress comes to take our order and as she was walking away with no eye contact at all said… Got it.
There was a man that brought our order out who was very friendly and I told him he was the friendliest person there today. He said he was new. We ordered a patty melt, and a breakfast burrito and both items were average. Nothing to write home about. Needless to say, I don’t think we will be coming back to eat at this place anytime soon.

The food was great, a pleasant atmosphere and the service was amazing. Hailey was our waitress and she did an exceptional job and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure all our needs were satisfied. She even brought me a “to go” lid for my cup of powdered sugar and entrusted me with her personal pen to sign the check.

Nothing special about this place, it’s perfect if you need a cheap, easy breakfast. Always go here when visiting Havasu but my recent trip just didn’t hit like it used too

Visited on a Sunday around brunch. Busy looking at the entryway, lots of people sitting outside, but half a dozen or more tables were available in the rear. Our table and booth were both dirty and covered in crumbs when seated. Waited 60-ish minutes on meals for two people. (Our waitress told us we were sat and our orders sent to the kitchen immediately after a group of 24 people; that kitchen and restaurant is clearly unequipped for a party of that size)
Both plates of food arrived cold the moment they were sat down. ironically, the eggs were the “hottest” thing we received. Pulled a nice big black hair out of my singular pancake. Never was offered a refill on iced tea, coffee was offered but the mug was only ever half filled. Hashbrowns overcooked, eggs had a lack of any real flavor, sausage was alright, my partner liked her bacon.

The icing on top? An older gentleman, who I presume to be the owner/general manager/or a similar equivalent, was sat down next to us about the time we finally received our food (after sitting there an hour). The staff had a drink in his hand and hot food on his table in under 5 minutes. What a smack in the face.

Cute atmosphere and decorations, poor service, and worse food. New locals and will not return.

This is not the place to go for corned beef hash. I was in town for 3 days and decided to order the same thing at 3 different restaurants, then rate them on that. Sam’s scored high on coffee, service, and eggs, but the corned beef hash was an order of hash browns with a light sprinkle of corned beef. I mean, I know some places are a little heavy on the potatoes for my liking, but I don’t think anyone here has ever seen actual corned beef hash. I would’ve given 3 stars, just based on that, but our server was great and she made things right.
