Sam’s Fine Food & Eggroll is consistently delicious. Time after time, it’s hands down the best Chinese food on the south side of Des Moines. This small, hidden gem delivers perfection across the menu, from the hot and sour soup to the pepper beef and the combination lo mein. If you ask for it extra spicy, be ready, it will be EXTRA spicy. No holding back, which is exactly how it should be. The potstickers are enormous, literally the size of your fist, and absolutely fantastic. What truly puts this place over the top, though, is the service: incredibly warm, kind, and genuinely happy to see their customers. A must-visit.

Kept hearing the place advertised and finally tried it tonight. Definitely didn’t disappoint. The food was EXCELLENT!! And the service was friendly and fairly quick even though they were busy. I knew the place was small but was definitely smaller than I expected. I really wish there was more room to sit down and eat. I think we’ll probably get food Togo next time

Ate here for the first time last night and loved it!! Super casual spot which I loved. The food was amazing and so was the service. We had Mongolian beef, chicken lo mein, egg rolls, and hot sour soup. We will definitely be back soon!

Tried them today OMG one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve had. Pot stickers was bigger than the egg rolls and yes egg rolls was delicious as well. Will definitely go back 10 ⭐s all day !!! And he is a 49ers fan double plus for me lol. Portions are huge will have dinner to !!

Sam and his family are super cool great atmosphere. I live on the south side and it’s a definite go to if you live in Des Moines. The food is amazing my favorite thing is the hot and sour soup super unique. Most of these Chinese restaurants taste similar obviously but Sam definitely puts his own flare on it.

My husband picked up for dinner tonight. Hands down some of the best Chinese we have ever had! The chicken lomein was incredible, the noodles had a ton of flavor. Great crab rangoons & egg rolls as well. We will be back, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

The hype is real!!!! Been seeing this all over my facebook since we moved here from GA. Best lo mein and egg rolls I’ve ever had. The Mongolian beef was great as well. Gonna order it spicy next time but we will 100% be back. So happy for once something online lived up the the hype.

Went to Sam’s for lunch. The store is clean and the owner sam is always delightful.I had the sweet and sour chicken and my guest had the sesame chicken. Everything was hot and fresh we decided to eat in. Its small but cozy. 10/10 i would definitely recommend
