Well, it’s Friday and I just ordered a three piece spicy chicken dinner and what I got was three crusty, old, dried out chicken thighs. I was gonna ride back up there tonight to see if they will replace it, but they know they close at 12 and they know what they were doing by selling me the old chicken at this time of the night knowing that if I come back, they will be closed.
I really like this place but if they serve like this one more time, I’ll carry my business elsewhere. Thanks, Dixie chicken.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for years, now the past two visits they’ve given me old food and the wrong side dish. On top of that, why did they charge me a different convenience fee for using my bank card on two visits. Thirty four cents was the first fee on 3/3/2025, and a fourty two cents fee on 3/9/2025. I’m seriously pissed off about the service that they are providing.

The staff was friendly. I remember when Sam and his brothers did all of the day to day operations of the business. They were always friendly and the food was good. The food is just OK now. Its inexpensive and will fill ya belly so it serves its purpose. Just seemed to have lost a Lil flavor. Could have been just a one off, since I haven’t been here in years. I would say for the price its definitely worth a try and forming your own opinion.

The food was delicious. I love the ribs. Bur, the peach cobbler was so burnt i thought it was blueberry. No for real. I even asked for peach cobbler and if they still made it. She went to what i thought was blueberry. The lobby needs a damn good scrub down. The walls are nasty. Don’t touch them at all. And always check your order. And they charge their own credit card fee too. But, the ribs are fall off the bone tender. And, the greens are to die for. Pork chops, baked chicken, pig feet, rib tips, fish of several kinds, wings if every flavor. Honey bar-b-q, lime. All kinds of wings. The corn on the cob is good and tender too. It’s been changed form owner to owner. Never know what your gonna sew when you go inside. So order, puck up, and pay with cash.

Food is delicious however, The owner needs to open at a more appropriate time. People are spending they’re hard earned money waiting for you to open. Just because you’re in an urban neighborhood doesn’t mean you slack still be professional and prompt!
