I stopped by here with some friends on a rainy Saturday and we loved this place. When you first walk in the floral decor on the walls definitely stand out. The seats were extra comfy with the pillows and I couldn’t stop looking at the decorative umbrellas hanging from the ceiling. The food here is authentic and delicious. We ordered everything from tofu Tom yum, Khao Soi beef, red curry, tofu stir fry and pad thai. We loved all of the dishes and how much flavor was in each one. Each of the soups had the right amount of shrimp paste or coconut milk.
The servers here were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Our appetizers and entrees came out quickly. The menu is extensive and they feature a lot of vegetarian options. Even with a fairly packed restaurant our large party of 6 sat comfortably. I will definitely be back to try some of their other traditional items and the seafood dishes!

One of the best Thai’s I’ve ever had. This restaurant has a real authentic feel with excellent service. I had the red curry and the flavour was unbelievably good. The portion size was huge and it was packed with chicken and vegetables.

Best Thai food we’ve had in years. Authentic flavours, not too sweet or too much fish sauce. The Khao Soi Pork Tonkatsu was fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone who happens to be hungry in Washington DC.

This is a very cute place in DuPont Circle. We first went there two years ago when it was newly opened. And came here again for lunch today. The service is amazing and the ambiance is very cozy.
Here is what I’ve tried here:
– Curry puffs – these are vegetarian and yummy.
– Massaman Curry – the curry is absolutely delicious. The tofu was very dry.
– Roti – my son got a side of roti and loved it.
Can’t wait to try the other dishes here. The food quality is very good and I highly recommend it.

Insanely good!! This place has the friendliest staff, crazy good food, and an awesome atmosphere inside. We came with two strollers (not the best idea) but the staff managed to find space for our group. Their portion sizes were perfect and prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend!

Sampannee Thai catered and served at our wedding, and they did SUCH an amazing job! While the food was delicious and much raved about afterwards, it was their service that really made the experience stand out.
Pat and her mom were so kind, patient, and sincere from the beginning. They worked with us to craft our menu, attended the final walk through, included free fruit carving, and brought an attentive and thoughtful crew to serve at the wedding. Their team set appetizers on the tables, grilled chicken satay on site, refilled water glasses, and rinsed off plates so those could be returned to the rental company. They also packed up the leftovers so guests could bring those home (which were still delicious for days after the wedding!).

Some of the best Thai food I have ever had! The service is always fantastic and the food comes out quick and hot. Green Curry is flavorful and rich, spring rolls taste freshly made, and pad cashew with pork is utterly superb. Interior is warm and inviting with nice window seating by the front. 10/10!

Delicious food. Polite and attentive service. Homey, living room vibes. Trying Thai spots in different cities is one of my favorite things. My two rules are that it (1) must be run by Thai people and (2) can’t feel commercial. Sampannee checked both boxes. I don’t eat meat so I green curry with tofu and vegetables was recommended. So good. I also had curry puffs and the homemade flan. The strawberry margarita was the only miss, but it wasn’t terrible. I’ll come again next time I’m in the area.

The food was alittle sweet for my taste, medium pick and you can adjust the spicy level which was a plus. However the place was so packed with table, is hard to move around. The male staff need more training.
