We enjoyed our meal and service. Best damn quesadilla I ever had! Burgers and stuffed mushrooms were excellent!
I did notice that someone mentioned the pasta had a slight dirty dishwater taste… then it hit me… the iced tea had something “off” about the taste… I would also describe this as a hint of “dirty dishwater” flavor served in the plastic cups… and only at this Hibbing location.
Please consider a carbon water filtration system or an R.O. system for dishwater and cooking. I believe the water piping infrastructure (on Howard Street at least) is old and contributing to this issue.

My favorite buffet to go to whenever I come to town!! Just found out new owners took over and they discontinued their fresh hot chocolate chip cookies you always got with your bill! Big bummer there!!! Always lessened the blow $$$ even though they’re rather reasonable in my eyes! Customer for life! Daily buffet from 11am-2pm. We were the only customers when we went and they still made ALL fresh food for us!!

I came in around 530pm to buy a frozen pizza and when I asked the young man at the counter to buy a frozen pizza he said “go ahead.” I had to ask where they were and how to purchase one. He was rude and unhelpful. I usually get great service here. This could be a good teaching moment for the young man.

The service was very poor. It took us a long time to get our order taken, and we were sitting at the bar. We ordered our food, but took almost an hour to get it. It arrived, and it was wrong and they went back and corrected it and the pizza was so greasy it took me nine napkins to soak some of the grease off of it, and it was only a medium pizza. I would definitely not recommend this location of Sammy’s . We have several locations in Duluth and I have never been disappointed. I actually was at Sammie‘s the night before in Duluth and had great service and great pizza. I didn’t think there would be that much of a difference between the locations. I was definitely wrong on that. I would not recommend going there. And while sitting in the bar, we got to watch cartoons Because that was the only thing on two of the TVs.

If you like thin-crust pizza and a flavorful pizza sauce, this is the place to go in Hibbing, Minnesota!
Warm setting – friendly staff – a wide variety of pizzas, chicken (wings), and a nice salad-bar! (On their lunch smorgasbord).

Wanted to eat at the buffet but there was no chicken and very little pizza options for pizza. We ended up ordering an appetizer, pizza and some pasta. The pasta itself tasted slightly of dirty dishwater. The pizza was delicious as was the appetizer.
We love Sammy’s and will continue to eat there. Just wont order pasta anymore!

Very comfortable setting, friendly staff. Parking and seating can be tight during busy times around dinner hours. Overall a very good place for Dinner and cocktails.

The food was good, but I felt prices were a bit high. The atmosphere was loud and a little cramped. There were 7 of us seated in the bar area, though, as that is what was available at 4:30 pm on a Saturday evening for dinner. The Bloody Mary’s stole the show. Price was $11 for about of the world show stopper- need to add some more pepper and salt, though, to taste.

First is first. This place is a little overpriced for me. For two large pizza’s, mozzarella sticks and large pretzel we paid over 100 bucks. Pizza was very good. Very cheesy and lots of meat. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Alot of people talk about this place so I had to try it out. Glad I did but one time is enough.

Sammy’s Pizza is a MUST STOP whenever you are in Hibbing, Minnesota. They are updating the restaurant to include a tavern, which has a great bar. The pizza is AMAZING hand-tossed thin crust pizza. They offer other Italian dishes, as well as a pizza buffet, but we always order our favorite: large sausage. If we’re feeling fancy, we add banana peppers.
