This has become a favorite not only for me and my wife, but also for our kids. Food is consistently fresh and tasty, and the portion size and prices are good. It’s a small place, so there’s not a ton of seating. But the service is fast, and if you get it to-go it will still be very hot when you get home! Glad to have it in our area, and hope it continues to bring in many customers.

Whoa! So don’t come here if you’re expecting friendly service or good food. They even charge for water! When we came in 3 booths had glasses for drinks but only gave us bottles for drink options. The Hot and sour soup was Disgusting! It was sweet and slimy. Unedible. The spicy dishes ordered were all sweet. Lots of veg’s in a meat dish for $12. Oh you have to pay for those little stale noodles that go along your soup. I really wanted a cup and straw but was afraid they’d charge me for it. Best bet go across the street to the Mexican restaurant.

I hate to play health inspector, but is the food cooked hot enough? Most people’s food would improve a whole lot if the meats and poultry were cooked at 165°.

Actually just passed by there often in recent year or more. Did try several times prior to that. Have not been back there to eat there as staff was not friendly or helpful, even though there was one item I particularly liked. Many from Council Grove seem to like to eat there. Noon prices are reasonable and include sides with meals. Not so at night, so if you like sides with your main dish it gets expensive.

My son is a retired chef. Both of us were impressed by the quality of the food in this little restaurant. He even tipped the cook which I have never seen him do! It is a tiny, plain looking eatery but the service was good and friendly and food quick and excellent. Will definitely go back.

Very Rude. My husband ordered food while I was at the store and I wasnt sure how long it was going to take to cook. I wound up at the store for quite awhile before I could pick up the food. When I walked in to get my order the lady was pacing back n forth glaring at me and then started throwing her hands up in the air angrily and yelling at me. She said I took too long to pick up the food and now the food is nasty and cold. I wasnt worried about it being cold. But she had a very angry tone of voice and I couldn’t get her to calm down and she just kept going on a rant. She told me not to come back again unless I was gonna pick it up in 10 minutes next time. I’ve never in my life experienced that bad of customer service.

This is one of the best kept secrets in the Flint Hills! Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend stopping by for either a lunch special or a satisfying dinner. Definitely a place to go if you are hungry.

Best won tons I’ve had anywhere, including China Town, NY. The authentic owners struggle some with culture and language but the food is amazing.
