A local overheard my husband and me talking about dinner options earlier today. He recommended Sammy G’s Tuscan Grill. Glad we went.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The larger tables on the outdoor patio have a fire feature in the middle to keep you warm, while the smaller tables have heat lamps. We chose to sit outside on the outdoor patio with the twinkling lights. It’s beautiful.
We shared a Caesar salad to start. My husband had sand dabs and I had gnocchi. The sand dabs were melt-in-your-mouth delish in a white wine lemon sauce. My gnocchi came with either a creamy pesto or a four cheese sauce, but I asked for a basic marinara sauce instead. Basic but good.
At the end of the meal, our server James brought us biscotti and amaretto on the house.

We went to Sammy G’s for Christmas Eve dinner and loved the food. It is one of the popular restaurants in Palm Springs and located conveniently at the heart of the Palm Canyon drive.
The seafood risotto and pesto chicken pizza were great. Service was good and the ambience was warm and inviting.
Will definitely recommend if you are in the mood for authentic Italian food.

If you’re looking for a quiet gorgeous place to dine, perfectly adorned with fire places, heaters and lights, with exceptional food, tucked away in downtown Palm Springs, this is it! Excellent cocktails, good service and did I mention the great food. Plenty of street parking and a free overnight parking garage a block away, be sure to get reservations for weekends but usually can fit in at the bar if needed. Edward at the bar was exceptional. They also have live music after 10pm

Service was wonderful, food is great, and the atmosphere is perfect. We did make reservations, so being seated was instant. Parking is a little difficult, but patience paid off. I highly recommend this place!

You’re in for a treat if you dine here. The food is incredible. The restaurant is beautiful and very spacious. The ambiance is exceptional. We had Chicken Marsala and a pizza for dinner. Wow was it good! We had creme brulee for dessert which was equally as amazing. This is the best Italian restaurant in all of Palm Springs and we look forward to coming back soon.

Always a great place. The Chilean Sea Bass is excellent. The seafood ravioli was great. The service was fantastic. Eduardo, our server was very very attentive while letting my wife and I enjoy our time, drinks and food. Also, Jaime makes the best Cosmo drink. My wife has not been able to find a better Cosmo anywhere. Thank you Sammy G’s for always making out experience a great experience.

A very busy restaurant that I would recommend you book. I booked a table outside. I was given a very nice welcome and all the staff were lovely throughout the meal. I ordered the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. It could have been a bit hotter but having mint jelly made up for this. I also had a bottle of beer and a glass of wine and the bill came to $59 which i thought was quite reasonable. (July 25)

Went there last night for my birthday dinner per recommendation from a friend. We sat in the back patio, but be prepared to be warm lol regardless it was very pretty, we had a great and attentive waiter, and the food and drinks were great as well. I had a seafood risotto and it was very good! At the end of our dinner we all got a complimentary amaretto with some biscotti, which I thought was a very nice touch! All in all, our experience was great, I would definitely recommend it and will definitely go back!
