Every sandwich or salad I’ve had here is huge and delicious! Made right in front of you with fresh ingredients. You can tell the employees care about the customers and are always friendly. Today I had the turkey sandwich but the picture doesn’t do it justice, I was only able to eat half the sandwich. There are daily specials. You won’t be disappointed!

Huge portions, reasonably priced. I usually get whatever special they have and have never had anything I didn’t like. They had a mushroom Swiss burger awhile ago and it was the best burger I have ever had. 10/10 always.

So glad my barber recommended this place to me. I passed it a few times without knowing what flavors I was missing out on.
Not only are the sandwiches better than any sub chain out there but the salads are made to order and stuffed full of fresh hand cut ingredients.
In addition their Friday meal specials are fantastic. Smart partnerships with local bakeries means you can always get an excellent desert here too.
Just writing this review has made me hungry for Sammi’s, so I’m going to go order something now.

Had the pig on a wing… Not even close, hands down, best tasting sub sandwich for the price of any place in the area. Packed with meat and the freshness of everything on it was incredible.. sammi sauce was amazing as well…

Seriously the best chicken sandwich I’ve had. Super fresh ingredients, chicken was grilled and marinated to perfection. Bread was delicious and didn’t get soggy under the WILD portion size. Locally sourced soda and chips as well. Well worth the wait!

Hard to believe because we have no excuse for trying this for the first time yesterday and it’s so close to home… Delicious! These types of old school, nothing fancy but the amazing food are what make small towns like Alton part of a larger conversation! Of note there were 5 local law enforcement officers getting their lunch and one of the regulars seated said ‘you’re back again today?!’ Anytime you have a following like that, it speaks for itself. There were all ages and genders coming and going. Staff was spot on! This is a successful business model, Alton- take note! Rusty Voumard, Rueben and the Watermelon salad!

Food was great! the braised beef was fire with provolon cheese and the al pastor street tacos with jalapenos added mmm. The ladies where so friendly and nice great conversation. Definitely, check this place out and give it a try. Very clean and welcoming. Will be back for another braised beef!
