Sammie’s is a nice little bar in Tallmadge / Akron. It has a menu that is a mix of bar food and home cooking. So it dies suffer from a large me u that doesn’t really know what it wants to be. Which mean the food is fine it is nothing stand out. I enjoyed the ham dinner the potatoes it came with was excellent the ham was decent. But the green beans where bland. The Sammie’s Burger is decent. They do ask you for tempature you want it but it almost always will come out well done. But it really doesn’t effect the flavor that much because there is so many sauces on the burgers. The meat is not the star of them. The drinks here are actually where they shine they’re well balanced and actually fairly well thought out.All of the dri ks on special we’re really nice. The service here was good they’re friendly and the food does arrive pretty fast. Wait times here can become long but if the wait is longer than 10 minutes it’s not worth it. The food will not blow you away. The decor is nice but there are many other places that do holiday themes too. During non-holiday times the place is not nearly as busy and you can get the same food.

My family of 13 thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sammie’s Bar and Grill tonight! It was the first time there for my hubby and me and also for my sister and brother-in-law from out of town. We were impressed with the delicious food and beautiful decor! It took quite awhile to get our food, but we were patient since we had a big party. We are so happy to have found another restaurant that we can frequent in the future!

We went around Christmas and they have the prettiest decorations. We both got the pomegranate martini. She got the Sammie’s burger and always loves the green beans. I got the turkey club (hot) and it was so good. Sammies always has the best fries. Our server was Abby and she was a great server. All the people there are very attentive. Went for lunch, wasn’t busy. I recommend going. We always enjoy going and eating the very delicious food.

A nice cozy place with great food. Service was great. Nice drink selections. Rustic atmosphere with fire places. I had the spicy goat cheese burger which was perfect. We share the specialty mac and cheese which was ok. It used Velveeta which I think it took away from the taste especially with the other cheese used.

My family and I recently went to Sammie’s. We ordered the Steamed Mussels and the Bavarian Pretzels for appetizers. Both were delicious and would order both again. I ordered the All American burg. The burger had a great flavor and cooked medium, but there was so much juice that it made the bun supper soggy and unappetizing. My oldest son had a build your own burger. The burger had a great flavor cooked medium and also made the bun so soggy that the bun was unappetizing.. My younger son ordered
the chicken tenders and fries off the kids’ menu. Both were cooked perfectly for him. My mother ordered the Philly cheese steak with onion rings. She said the cheese steak was very tender, and the onion rings were very good. I would definitely come back to Sammie’s!

Good food when it finally came. Over 90 minutes after ordering for 3 salads and the daily chicken special. Excuse was that a 15 top came in ahead of us and we are next. Dont take 15 top walkins if kitchen cant handle it and the other orders. We shiuldnt suffer while poor planners enjoy their lunch. Just sayin.

Our first time here. The food was great. My wife and I share meals. We normally just eat off the same plate. Without asking or charging more they split the meal up and brought seperate plates. That was great! It was Christmas time and the decorations were amazing. There had to be a thousand ornaments haning from the ceiling. Very well done!!
