Really good sub sandwiches. Lots of meat and veggies so it doesn’t taste like you’re just eating bread. Ingredients are really fresh too. This place can get really busy at lunch time, but they still are pretty quick to get your food to you. For how busy it was I was impressed.

Visiting Union City on business and first time eating at Sammies. I have to say the Monte Carlo is probably the best sandwich I’ve eaten in many years. It was packed with ingredients and super tasty.

Three of us had lunch today (5/17/2023). I ordered a small muffuletta sandwich. The ingredients on the menu were not what was on the sandwich. There were Hot jalapeno’s mixed in. I like mild jalapeno’s. When I asked about the ingredients I was told that “they are in the mix that they put on the sandwich”. Apparently they use a bag of stuff that they buy to make the sandwiches. They didn’t offer to make me a different sandwich. When I left I told the lady that they should have to me about the jalapeno’s. They could have offered a different sandwich. She said ” I’m Sorry”. I could tell by the look on her face and the tone of her voice that She Could Care Less. My unhappiness was not her problem.

Why isn’t this place a chain? Toasted Italian sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had. Lots of fresh meat and cheese and some amazing secret sauce. So much better than Subway, JJ’s, and all the others. Superior customer service as well. Unfortunately I don’t visit the area very often, so I’m definitely jealous of Union City locals.

I enjoy Sammies. I do not get to go often but it is worth the drive. I got the Bacon Mac and Cheese and Honey Mustard Chicken Sub. The mac and cheese was delicious …and had a nice crisp too the cooked cheese but gooey on the inside. The sub was a little messy with honey mustard and the chicken pieces kept falling out but nothing a fork couldn’t fix.
