El Patron offers a celebratory culinary authentic, experience. The staff are helpful and courteous. The interior is bright, colorful and boasts beautiful relief pictures on the seat rests of booths, along with glorious romantic depictions of gauchos and their ladies. Sombreros hang from the walls all contributing to the fiesta type atmosphere. The menu has an extensive variety of new and tried and trusted Mexican plates that will suit everyone’s palate. The portions are extraordinarily generous. Margaritas are a must. A restaurant for the entire family.

The best regular on the rocks margarita I have had at a restaurant in quite awhile. Very good service and the food portions are plentiful. My only wish is I wish there were more traditional spices. I will go back.

Was traveling with a friend yesterday to an appointment and decised to eat locally afterwards instead of immediately heading back. Personally, when I am in a new area I like to check out and support local businesses and restaurants. This was apparently the place for locals to be since on what I assume was an average Thursday at 5:30pm most parking spaces were taken up and more vehicles were coming in. After we took the last space multiple vehicles still kept pouring in.

Everything here is absolutely amazing! Just when I thought it didn’t get better, they brought us our food. The most flavorful beef I’ve ever had in a taco in my entire life and the rice just made it better! If you’re passing through or if you live here in Bardstown, I would definitely stop any give this place a try
