This place!!! The experience here was excellent! First they bring you bread and herbs the herbs was great! “Breaking bread with your loved ones” the warm bread in the herbs taste so good we had got a second round of the herbs it was that good then we got the appetizer meatballs and they were very tasty the wife had me take a picture because it was plated so nice and tasted like it looked then comes the salad very very fresh we even got salad to take home it was that good! I got baked abbriata the wife got chicken Alfredo and added shrimp that was very good as well our server was Camden I think she said and she was a very good server very attentive she was great! We got the Banana cheese cake which was very good as well. We love the atmosphere of this place the wife said she liked the Alfredo better than olive garden so now I do not have to take her to columbia. They even shred the cheese over your pasta our server was great! Then the owner came out and checked on us to see how the food was. We found our new place for Italian highly recommend!

This is more than just a pizza place.
The pizza—with meat toppings—was solid, and the lasagna was also quite good. I have a feeling that anything made with their marinara sauce would be worth trying. It had a pleasant sweetness and wasn’t overpowering, serving as a great base for both dishes.
What really stood out, though, were the wings—absolutely delicious. Big, juicy, and slightly charred on the outside, they’re a must-try.
Even the complimentary items were thoughtfully done. The Caesar side salad was better than expected, and the warm bread served with quality olive oil for dipping was a standout. It’s rare to find places that still offer these kinds of touches, as many others cut corners to protect their bottom line.
I finished with the tiramisu, which left me wondering: what else should I have tried?

Sambino’s never disappoints. The food is always excellent, and the service is consistently great—even when I’ve dined with groups of up to six. On the rare occasion you have to wait, it’s absolutely worth it. Every time I’ve visited, the chef has come out personally to ask how the meal was, which really shows how much they care about the experience. Highly recommend!

A cute little shop with a strip mall storefront.
This place had so much potential but missed the mark on almost everything.
It was 2:15 on a Monday afternoon; we were on our way back from a day trip meeting. We checked Google maps for restaurants on our way and this one. I was driving and my wife can’t read while riding, so we had to skip checking reviews.
We were the only customers that were dining in, there were a few customers picking up to-go orders.
The server was not rude, but she definitely wasn’t friendly; she did her job and that was it
No other customers were there, yet they had the old cliché “Italian music” blaring from speakers directly over the tables. We did ask to turn them down, we assumed she was going because she walked away without saying anything, yet the volume never decreased. I would have been much happier if she would have just said “No”.
We ordered calzones, and since it was a late lunch my wife needed something quick so she ordered a starter shrimp scampi.
To me the shrimp was the best I had ever eaten but there was a little too much red pepper in it for my wife.
The calzones arrived and they smelled amazing, the crust was a dark golden color which almost looked overdone, but it was not. I broke of a piece of the crust and it turned out to be some of the best dough ever!
And, that was it, ran out of good things to say.
Look at the pictures!
It is my belief that they had the ovens turned up so high to get pizzas out as quickly as possible; but that doesn’t do good things for calzones.
I realized why the crust was so dark, they tried leaving it in longer to get the inside cooked! Big fail! The cheese wasn’t even melted, the green peppers were not even close to being cooked, the moisture from the peppers mixed with the sauce and created an unappetizing, runny mess. Neither of us could even finish eating them.
This one is really hard because all of the ingredients were there to create an awesome experience, the only thing missing was the ability to put them together properly.
I apologize in advance for the pictures, do not look at them if you are hungry; but this was the reality.

I was hoping this location would be convenient, but honestly the other one is still the better choice. The pizza comes off more like cafeteria pizza—bland and lacking any real flavor I’d expect. The alfredo was disappointing too; it seemed like pre-shredded Parmesan that had been stored and reheated, never achieving the smooth, creamy texture you expect– either that or it sat so long between ordering and me picking up it separated like it would normally in a fridge. It’s a shame, because this spot is much closer than the other location, but the quality just isn’t there.

Wow! I wish I knew about this place earlier. We dined in and they brought us a free loaf of bread that was hot and crispy with some olive oil and some spices on top to dip it in. It was excellent and then when our pizza came out, it was just the way we wanted it. The bread was delicious and crispy. Everything was cooked well. Our service was excellent. Everybody was nice and friendly, and the place looked spotless. I would highly recommend this place. If you want some pizza that’s fresh and well-made. This is the place to come.

First time here for me and my wife yesterday. I love the lasagna and the fresh salad. My wife said her alfredo was better than Olive Garden she said she loves how you can sub the noodles out for what kind you want. We both must tell you your warm bread and herbs are very delicious. We enjoyed and will be coming back. Very friendly staff. Very good prices.

Pizza was okay for the price, you can go down the street to demaras and get 2x the amount of toppings. However, whoever is making the desserts needs to taste test their own food. We got the banana cheesecake that was not only bland but also gooey and not in a good way, and the red velvet cake that was dry, the frosting is taste like canned frosting but the cheesecake in it was ok. For $15 for 2 slices, you could do better

Probably the best pizza spot in Sumter just don’t set your expectations for a NYC slice/Chicago taverb style pie (and no I’m not talking about deep dish which is for tourists), order was quick and ready when I arrived. Service was very friendly!

We visited the Sambino’s on 441 for the first time last night. We were regulars at the original location on 378 in the 90s and were pleasantly surprised. The rolls were warm and delicious, the salad was fresh, and the entrée was very good. Friendly staff, fair prices, and a great experience overall. We’ll be back!
