The plov was excellent — juicy, tender meat and perfectly cooked rice.
We also tried the Kebab Paradise platter, which was a great mix of everything — every item was packed with flavor.
Service was amazing, and the food came out quickly. Definitely a place worth revisiting!
The customer service was disappointing. Our server was not very friendly and didn’t check in to see how we were enjoying our meal, which made us feel a bit overlooked.
As for the food, it was hit or miss. The lamb dumplings were delicious, and the sweet chili shrimp was the standout dish of the meal—definitely the best thing we ordered. However, the ribeye steak was quite tough despite being cooked medium well, and the charcoal-grilled trout was just okay, lacking seasoning and real flavor.
Overall, while the ambiance and a couple of dishes were enjoyable, the service and consistency of the food would need improvement for us to consider returning.
We came in for dinner recently and were seated right away—no wait, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were welcoming, and they quickly brought out a high chair for my son, which we really appreciated.
For our mains, we ordered the Plov Samarkand, Lamb & Steak Gyro, Assorted Shish Kebab Platter, and the Halloumi Kebab. Everything was outstanding, but the kebabs truly stole the show—flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The chicken, beef, and lamb kebabs were all incredible, and the halloumi added a salty, savory twist that worked beautifully. Gyro was quite delicious and filing.
The fried cauliflower made a great side—lightly crispy and full of flavor. If I had to choose, the beef and chicken kebabs would be my personal favorites. The Plov Samarkand was also a standout—the lamb was so tender, it fell apart at the touch and melted in the mouth.
We wrapped up the meal with a chocolate lava cake, which was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic dinner.
I highly recommend giving Samarkand a try—you won’t be disappointed!

The restaurant itself has rustic wood furniture, a spacious floor plan, and an overall really cozy & welcoming vibe. The staff are really nice and attentive. Shoutout to my server Laziz! He was really friendly and his service was 5/5! Made the experience really great.
The food – amazing! Seasoning was perfect, meat was tender, flavors were rich and creamy. It felt like a warm hug. I wish I could go and the back and shake the hands of all the kitchen staff because WOW! Y’all turned me onto Uzbek food! Yum!!
