Kimchi fried rice may be one of the best things ive ever eaten. Absolutely delicious. I ordered it with no onions and they happily obliged. Yes the booths and menus have seen better days, but the food is incredible, priced very reasonably, and the staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Five stars.

Oh My Goodness, what a great find! The Pho broth is a beautiful throw back to when the broth was the star. I was in heaven! Then there were the Summer Rolls with the perfect peanut sauce. Want some gyoza that is perfectly cooked. Its here. Can’t wait to return and sample more of the authentic and well made Asian Fusion Food.

Food – Good down comfort food.
Korean version Pho. I was really concerned at first with the red color of this pho, but was pleasantly surprised by the aha! The aha is that red for me registers I’m going to have acid reflux eating this, but in fact it’s kimchi that’s giving it this color. But with a earthy deep korean spice that is not burning your mouth out. Lol. Your just going to have to take my word for it. I asked for two kinds of meat and I only saw one type. Hence 4 stars
Service – Waitress was overloaded and wasn’t able to attend to everyone in a timely way, but she was a trooper and was super focused.
Atmosphere – 4 star = tight seating being that is an older restaurant and they’re trying to fit more people.

Sam City had been on my list of places to check out for nearly six months before I finally made it in, and it was mistake for me to take so long! They offer a diverse and delicious menu that includes a salad with their signature dressing which has to be one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had, it should definitely be the first appetizer you order.
Quick and cheerful service was another bonus, thank you to Lexi for being a great host!
Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu, don’t hesitate to give Sam City a shot.

Server was nice and friendly. The place isn’t too big and was almost full after we arrived. They ran out of menus. They have a great menu selection. We love trying new restaurants, especially places for pho.
The prices for pho are higher than other pho places we have gone- $15-$16 for a bowl of pho. We ordered two different bowls of pho and a $19 dish with steamed rice, ribs, shrimp, pork and garnished with shredded cabbage & lettuce. Food tasted great.

I ate at Sam City Pho & Grill on Pacific Boulevard SE in Albany with a friend during our lunch break.
Really nice decor and there are booths and a nice dining side with tables. Everyone there is super-friendly and accommodating.
I had the Chicken Pho which was wonderful. The flavors all worked together to make for a great dish.
My friend had the Chicken Katsu which I had a chance to try. And that is phenomenal: just the right amount of crispness on the outside, with super-tasty sauce, and extremely tender chicken on the inside.
I’ll definitely be returning.

always great food, good service, prices are average, usually ready in a short amount of time. Best Korean/Thai fusion place in town.

I think like most restaurants the quality of ingredients had dipped while prices steadily increased. we ordered Chicken Pho, fried mushroom, and Christians Choice (noodles, beef, and supposedly vegetables), the prices on the website indicated this order should have been around 28$ before tip, it ended up 38$ before tip for pickup. The broth is always great in the pho, however the noodle to meat/vegetable ratio was underwhelming.

I’ve gone to Sam City countless times throughout the years and I’ve never been disappointed by the service and dishes prepared.
As someone with a gluten allergy, it’s not easy finding restaurants that will cater to my dietary needs. Luckily, Sam City has many gluten free options available and absolutely delicious.
