This evening, May 26 2023, I called to order a pizza delivery and was shocked by the lack of professionalism of the person I spoke with. When she picked up the phone she was laughing and talking with others in the background. I had to wait for even a “hello.” Then after announcing that I was speaking with Salvatore’s, she starting talking again with others in the background and laughing. I had to wait for her to get back to me. After she got through asking my phone number and whether I wanted pickup or delivery she stopped for another long conversation and then asked how my night was going, with even more laughing in the background. I started to wonder whether the person on the other end was sober. At that point, I lost complete confidence in this person and the rest of the crew working. I did not feel I could trust them with my credit card number, trust them to cook a decent pizza or deliver it to the correct address. I told them I would take a pass today and hung up.

Horrible. Ordered a Steak Plate w/ extra onions, and I got this afternover an hour of waiting…some shaved steak, one side of mac salad, and onions. Tiny serving, no meat sauce, and nothing that compares to a garbage plate. Pitiful for $16.

Foods constantly burnt, they will send you the wrong drinks, they don’t wash the pans they cook the pizza on, someone drop a ear bud in the pizza and served it to the customer, they put bleach in with the chicken wings, when they have wings delivered to the store they come already open and they don’t send them back, most of the employees don’t wash there hands coming back from the bathroom, the employees smoking/vaping weed on the stairs

Ordered a large Chicken Cordon Bleu sub. Waited an hour for delivery. Chicken was nearly black it was so over cooked. Called back and was told they would sent me another. Waited another 30-40 minutes. Second sub was as burnt if not worse than the first. (Clearly the cook doesn’t know how to fry a piece of chicken) Called back again and asked for a refund on the sub which was only part of the original order but was told they could not credit my card. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else.

This is a medium sized Salvatore’s. Not one of their nearly bus stop sized locations. The staff is pleasant. Haven’t heard of shortages on any ingredients or food items. Quick and accurate with your orders.

Very mixed feelings: great subs, but they’re often not ready when I arrive. Great calzones, but (like every Rochester pizza place) their pizza is mediocre at best. And the Thin Thin “Pizza”?! Putting it on a tortilla would have provided better support! An amazing culinary feat which cannot be eaten as is with either hand or utensil, and essentially must be rolled up into a giant pizza log.
