Pooor rating primarily due to lack of vegetarian options. Pizza was ok. 6/10 overall. Somewhat pricey. Surprised when they said they didn’t have chilli flakes or even marinara sauce. Most italian restaurants serve free fresh bread but not here. Tira

My spouse and I visited Salvatore’s for my birthday dinner recently. If you want an Italian experience without traveling to Italy, this place is it.

The welcome, seating, the extensive list of specials, and their wine selection were each exquisitely executed. I enjoyed their burrata, mushrooms, beef medallions in pasta, and their Piecorino wine! Our host Donaldo was amazing!

The dessert was not worth mentioning, but overall a 5-star experience.

I’ve been going to Sal’s since 2004 when we were first looking to move up to Seattle. I don’t think a year has gone by that I haven’t gone. I’ve gone for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, college graduations. It always feels like I’m visiting home. Listening to the specials and getting intrigued by each is so fun. Asking the server for a wine recommendation and just giving him some vague “here’s what we like” will never disappoint.
They don’t do reservations, so don’t be mad if you have to wait. Order a glass of wine and just chill in the waiting area. This is not a typical Seattle restaurant that’s going to try and get you in and out as fast as possible. This is Italian dining where it’s a whole event and you should slow down and enjoy the experience.

Absolutely amazing! The olive oil for the bread was the best I’ve ever had! Wouldn’t get the mushrooms app again but it was still tasty. The pizza and the Chianti were sooooo good! The waiter was fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. The only way this place could be better is with low lit lighting ans some red walls.

Dined here with family on the evening of Feb 14th. The place was packed, and there was a long wait, but it was worth it. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy (and crowded). The service felt a bit rushed, which was understandable given that it was Valentine’s Day on a Friday evening!

My partner took me here for a date because we live in walking distance and he has repeatedly told me this is one of his favorite places in Seattle.
We both left somewhat disappointed, though, and he admitted that we didn’t recieve the service he has come to expect of this place.
We were given water once the whole time we were dining, while surrounding tables seemed to be receiving much more attention. The food was delicious, but the wait was lengthy, and we did not recieve any updates on when our food would be coming out until we asked our server in passing.
Once our dinner was delivered to our table, we requested a basket of their bread which we did not recieve, and we were not checked on once during the meal.

Amazing and tasty food, so authentic tasting!! Great service and we had no reservation on a busy Saturday night and got seated immediately.
The veal was so tender and thin…the pasta so tasty and the bread which is NOT complimentary btw but very Italian tasting…

I don’t like Italian and this pretty decent. Prices were a bit higher than other restaurants but it was at least good! Drinks were good, definitely not your Olive Garden experience so you will have to pay for bread .

Had a great time here on New Years eve. I had the Seafood linguini Bianco and it was a nice portion for the price only 22 bucks. I usually don’t get dessert but the Chocolate cake was outstanding. Our server was fast and efficient. I will be going back and I do recommend this gem if you live in Seattle. Oh and great Vodka Martinis! Cheers!

My husband and I casually went here one evening were blown away. First of all, the hospitality was great! Our main course was a little delayed and they offered us an appetizer on the house. Secondly, the food was outstanding. It’s authentic Italian food and you will feel all the flavors in your mouth when you take a bite. Also, don’t forget to try out their deserts. Overall, had a great evening. Will keep going to this place.
