Dude, I am a savage critic of Chicago Deep Dish, or as I call it Chicago Casserole. But maaaaaaan, this is really really good. The Chicago Traditional is top class Chicago style deep dish pizza. The crust is buttery and crunchy, the sausage is savory, and the sauce is amazing.
I will be coming back more and more often.

Great place to grab a bite to eat. Our waitress was wonderful she was polite and patient with us being our first time there.

Noisy. 2 tables of drunks just hanging out and yelling. The Chicago style pizza looked beautiful. Flavor just wasn’t there for me.

My husband and I love their deep dish pizza! It was so good and I can’t wait to go back to get more. They also have huge salads which I was impressed. Service was great as well!

While visiting St. Louis we had the pleasure of visiting! We wanted pizza and to try toasted ravioli! Man did this place deliver! The food was absolutely fantastic! This pizza and ravioli set the bar! Service was GREAT and the price was fair! Not a single complaint from our family! I would drive from Tennessee for their food!
Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Had there buffalo wings and deep dish pizza. The wings were great. They were larger then average wings, cooked wonderfully, and the buffalo sauce was delicious. The deep dish is the pie stile deep dish thin (or very thin hand toss) on the bottom of a pie pan filled with cheese and toppings then a thin crust on top covered with sauce. The crust was flakey and buttery it was delicious.

I moved to South City recently, and the Salvage Yard has been on my radar for deep dish pizza. I finally got to give them a try!
I ordered a 10″ Chicago Original Deluxe, which came with chicken, spinach, bacon, and tomatoes. Everything from the crust to the sauce to the toppings were fresh and delicious.
The 10″ was large and thick enough for half the pizza to make me feel pretty stuffed, so I got 2 meals out of the $20 pie. I thought that was a really good value for a premium pizza.
I’m happy to live in the neighborhood and have this for an option. I’ll definitely be back!

The service was great here. I really loved the boneless wings. They were the right level of crunchy. The spicy buffalo was a great sauce. The ranch was solid.
The salad was large but nothing was really chopped up. The flavor didn’t make up it sadly. The Bob pizza was not our favorite either 🙁 I didn’t taste any garlic & we got that as a topping for $2.50 extra.
I would go back for the boneless wings.
The garlic sauce for the wings was like pizza garlic so I’m glad we didn’t pick that for the wings. It was also oddly chunky. The prices were high. $55 for 3 items-salad, boneless wings, and 10” pizza.

The best Chicago deep dish pizza in STL that I have tried thus far. I am very picky, the crust was crispy but not tough or too doughy. The cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms deserves accolades. The Italian/house salad (with added black olives) was very good. Will be back.
