Salty’s Surf Shack is an absolute vibe. Like…the kind of place you roll into for one drink and suddenly it’s sunset, and you’re planning your next visit. The staff is legendary. Super chill, insanely friendly, and always down to point you toward the perfect beer or mix up a killer cocktail. Feels like hanging with friends, not ordering from a bar. Or maybe that’s because I was with friends.
The beer and cocktail game is STRONG. Cold beers, great local options, and cocktails that go down way too easy after a beach day. Whatever your mood, they’ve got you covered.
And the views? Unreal. Ocean breeze, beach right there, drink in hand… it doesn’t get more Surf City than this. Easily one of the best spots to kick back, relax, and just soak it all in.
Props to them for supporting the local restaurants as well. I ordered some amazing wings from Shaka Taco, and they bring it right to your table.
If you’re in Surf City and don’t stop here, you’re wrong and should probably fix that.

Great view on the beach to have a drink. They have food option from Shaka Taco you can order and pick up to enjoy. It is decorated surf theme they do allow pets on a leash but I have 4 star for atmosphere for noise level it’s was not super busy the the “echo” noise was loud made it hard to hear person next to me. I still highly recommend checking it out.

Great spot on the water. Watched surfers brave the elements in 32 degree weather while having a fab margarita, nice and cozy inside.
(Would give a 5 on atmosphere if the lighting was less harsh! Super bright in there like a classroom. Trying to not be in a classroom w my cocktail. ) Re other review, Maybe some fabric on windows would absorb noise bouncing around. Just an idea. Otherwise, 5 stars! Happy yall are here!

Amazing beach front location from Salty Turtle. Big windows with tables in front to see the beach from inside. Great outdoor space too for dining and/or drinking.
Can order Shaka Taco via QR code for delivery at Jo charge from across the street.
Very dog friendly which can result in a few upset doggies from time to time. Beware if you have little kids with you.
This is a very popular place so it can be busy and loud. May also be difficult to find parking.

Great full service bar. They allow pups in there to watch the sunset with you. They had 8 or so beers on tap, but I went with the 10 year Henry McKenna.

Details matter and this place knocked it out of the park. One of my favorite places on the island, for sure! Everything I love about the Turtle, just on the beach! Great craft beer, very tasty mixed drinks, and a super legit staff.

Finally a brewery that serves domestic beer also! I like craft beer but my wife does not, so it is hard to convince her to go. There will be no problem getting her to go to Salty’s now! Great setup with local restaurants for food delivery. Great views of the surf/beach. Great beer. Bring a game with nad have a great night out!
