Our first time at Salty’s Wine Bar. One amazing meal starting with their marinated Greek cheese and homemade focaccia, farro and roasted beet salad and scallops a la plancha. Hard to decide on dessert and chose buttermilk panna cotta with apricots – wow ! Our meal was delicious. Salty’s food is locally sourced which made everything exceptionally fresh. A wonderful dining experience and we’ll be back the next time we visit Jamestown.

What a lovely place to visit after a day at the beach. The drinks, atmosphere, and staff were excellent. Food was delicious, my only gripes were the lamb being a bit overdone and the portions being rather small (except for the foccacia which was generous), even by the standards of a tapas bar. I would definitely go back

Chef Noah’s use of local ingredients and creativity keeps it fresh and fun. This was out third time and each time has been a culinary joy! Lamb meatballs are a must-try staple but the tuna was unlike anything I’ve ever tried. Delish! And they have a great wine list!

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here a few weeks ago. The woman who greeted us (I believe she is one of the owners) was so warm and friendly! We had made a reservation online and there was a space to note occasion, and she immediately knew who we were by name and knew it was our anniversary. Loved the atmosphere and idea that this is a converted space that becomes a restaurant at night. Feels very unique. We only ordered a few plates but they were all very delicious. Everything is ordered to share. Our waitress did a good job at explaining the menu too. The black sea bass dish we had was particularly good!

I gave this restaurant a rave review earlier this year, before the town approved their extended hours and beverage license. Since those approvals came through, we have returned three times. The food and experience just keep getting better. The largely tapas-style, shared-plate menu is wonderful. We’ve never had a bad dish. The larger plates are generous. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. Save room for dessert! The ambiance is delightful. It is amazing how they convert a laid-back bakery / coffee shop (also a favorite) into a warm and charming dining space four nights a week. We’ll keep coming back. Try parking in the library lot across the street. The restaurant is open after library hours and there are usually spaces.

Salty Restaurant is a delightful new addition to the island, managed by a hometown wife and her husband, who serves as the executive chef. With extensive experience in top restaurants across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, they bring a unique flavor to this amazing establishment.

What I love about Salty is their commitment to procuring local foods from island farms and fishermen. This ensures that each dish is fresh and infused with a local blend of love and taste. The locally sourced ingredients also allow the menu to change weekly, making each dining experience special and unique.

My last meal of lamb, scallops, and salads was absolutely delicious. Having lived in Europe for years, I felt like I was transported back to a hidden gem that only locals frequented. If you’re choosing a restaurant in Jamestown, Salty would be my top pick.

Had Dinner on Thursday night. Dined outside which was pleasant. Great red wine. Cucumber cocktail was tasty. We had the marinated Greek cheese with focaccia bread. So tasty! We also shared the snap peas dish, apricot dish, swordfish, scallop and beef dish. Was plenty for 4 of us to share all of this. Great meal- thank you

Cute little place in town. We’re from out of town, on a short romantic getaway and were excited for a nice meal. The reservations at Salty were booked up, except for an early (5:15) spot on a Saturday night which we happily booked. Our server was very friendly when we arrived, and was attentive as we settled in. I think we were one of two seated tables at that early time. As soon as another table arrived and filled up, it was clear that the place was understaffed. I know that is a challenge these days, so I won’t slight them for that. The food is where I can express my dissatisfaction. First off, we ordered their dips and and a side of focaccia for dipping. I assumed the focaccia was baked fresh, as I saw an oven and a nice tray of focaccia bread sitting there when we walked in. The focaccia arrived cold and tasted a day old. Cold focaccia! We asked them to heat it up (when someone finally stopped by again, much later) and they gladly obliged the request, saying “a lot of people ask for this.” Maybe they’ll take that advice. Next we ordered the tuna crudo and the Bang Island Mussels. The crudo arrived with a few tiny flaccid pieces of tuna, which didn’t look vibrant and fresh. Worst of all, there was a big hair in the food. The green beans and mussels arrived… cold mussels out of the shell, mixed with green beans and a dull sauce. Before ordering, we asked if the mussels were hot, and our server (very sweet and nice) thought they were supposed to be hot. My recommendation – indicate the serving style on the menu more clearly, or train your staff better. I don’t often send back plates, but we sent both back, finished our drinks, and left. Management did the right thing by crediting the returned food. I wish this place good luck, but clearly there is room for improvement.

Cocktails were creative and cheeky, I had a “Cuke Skywalksr” and it was the perfect summer refresher. Lamb meatballs were divine, bread was super fresh, tomato salad was elevated with local seasonal flavors. The staff made us feel super special. Even the bathrooms were finely appointed. What a gem in Jamestown.
