The Saltwater Saloon is a fantastic addition to our amazing harbor. The service is prompt, present, and adaptive. The whole staff is kind and caring to all who enter there establishment. My experiences have been always above my expectations. Even on very busy nights they are gracious and willing to go beyond when needed. Don’t even get me started on how fantastic the food is. My favorite on the menu is their grilled chicken sandwich. The menu is simple to read and easy to order from. I love that this establishment also has a family friendly restaurant and energetic bar side. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to try new food as you experiment and add to the menu. I would recommend this place to anyone coming out too our harbor.

What a great new addition to Westport. Inviting atmosphere, staff were friendly and accommodating. Steak bites were delish! I will be back every time I’m in town. Owners were so nice as well. Be sure to try their fishbowl drink, excellent!

We’ve eaten here a total of 4x. Lastnight though was our last time.
First thing that makes dinner tedious… It’s always SOOOO LOUD IN THE BUILDING YOU HAVE TO YELL TO CHAT. We had high hopes, but our order has NEVER been correct, any of the times we’ve been there this yr. Our first visit was in January, 3x in Feb. A med rare steak came out blue rare, yelling for it’s life. The med well steak was trying to leave the plate on a river of red juices, which is what happens when your steak isnt mw but rare. The boiled veggies have no seasoning, not even a butter pat. And getting bits of broccoli florets & a couple of yellow carrot slices isn’t the best. The baked potatoes seem to be boiled whole (soggy) & finished in the oven to I guess expedite already slow food wait times. We watched 4 tables of ppl get up & leave, 2 had been served drinks, 2 gave up waiting.
I know the tiny salad bowls are cute & all, but as a customer, I have never been able to mix my dressing in my salad. Visit 2, our waitress apologized for the bowls & brought us plates. I will say the steaks your waitress told us you had changed to were much more tender & flavorful than our first visit. Just need to figure out the grilling times for perfection.
And I know it’s hard to do; I worked a bar & grill & it’s hard work, which is ANOTHER reason we kept coming back.
No soggy cold toast this time, so not sure if that’s off the menu or was forgotten last night. I got fries this time because the baked is ew & mashed isn’t something I enjoy. I also don’t like cold fries & guess what I was served last night. Mealy grainy cold fries that seemed they were kept under a warmer to dry out but stay ‘warm.’ No thank you.
I know you guys are busy. But last night the rudeness factor was too much. The rude attitude of that younger dude with the peachy fuzz on his lip & chin was too much. We almost left then. 3 guys trying to do the huge job of orders & bar, & it’s just wild watching y’all run around like you do. No one seems to know what they should be doing. No one bussing. And being told more often than not that dinner is 2 hrs+/- in serving is not going to help you guys.
Someone with restaurant background needs to come in help you guys, show you how to do the business correctly, because at this rate, you’re going to join The Siren & wind up shuttering your doors. Just sprinkle everything on the menu with lots of minced rosemary.
We’ve been there like i said 4x. Food & drinks each time. The cranberry cider is great. We’ve been there that many times because honestly, your restaurant has so! much! potential! but after last night, we’ve decided to go back & just do Merlino’s or Bennett’s. I’m sad because your place is so close to home.
We wish you well. I hope this economy doesn’t ruin it for you. Your restaurant is good, just needs someone paying attention to detail & everyone knowing what their station is & how to do it.

I ordered a burger and hubby ordered chicken fried steak, needless to say I had major food envy because the chicken fried steak was amazing!!!! So tender and full of flavor!!! Will definitely return for it again! Thanks Stoney!!! Exceptional service as well!!! 5 STARS

Unfortunately we did not get to try their wagu hamburgers due to the long wait. BTW they provided a smaller menu limited to hamburgers and chicken strips to speed up service, according to our waiter. After 30 minutes we were told it would take another 20 to 30 minutes to get our food, therefore we decided to leave. We were not alone in walking out. I really wanted this restaurant to be great. Management / Owner must stop making excuses because they are busy with one Kitchen serving the restaurant and bar. Instead action is needed to recognize the problem and make decisions which improve the guest experience. I wish the Saltwater Saloon the best and hope they find thier way before its too late.

This was a pleasant surprise. Very clean with several big screens to watch games on. Was greeted right away by Jessica. What a wonderful person. She took our drink order right away. We ordered the steak bites which were amazing. Cooked to perfection. The Reuben was very good. Meat was tender and the perfect amount of sauerkraut. We have found our new saloon in town. As we were leaving Stoney the manager thanked us for coming in.

This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. We waited 45 minutes for 3 appetizers that had the portion size of a kids meal, and the food was incredibly mediocre. After waiting another 30 minutes, I finally went up to the waiter to get an ETA on our food (which the waiter had not at any point feel the need to update us on any wait or apologize for the wait) just for the cook in the back to say they were not even close to our ticket. It is extremely clear that no one working here has any idea what they are doing and they just simply do not care about the customer experience. At least warn people ahead of time so they arent waiting for hours for nothing. DO NOT GO HERE.
