Service was great. Food was meh. Caesar salad and truffle frites were exceptional. No notes. The “chicken and dumplings”? Trash. Absolute garbage. Chicken and dumplings should not be served in a broth. And gnocci is not a dumpling. Otherwise, the chicken was good. But they need to be more clear that this is not a traditional chicken and dumplings dish . Didn’t finish it, stopped after the first few bites trying to convince myself it was atleast decent. Very disappointing considering every other dish I’ve had from here has been exceptional.

Outstanding! First time here in Beaufort and look forward to coming back here! I ordered the Blackened Dorado (Mahi and Potato Gratin in mustard beurre blanc) and a ceaser as a starter. Loved the flavor and overall service. Will definitely recommend this to anyone passing through or looking for a fine dining experience.

We loved Saltus River Grill! We were visiting Beaufort for the first time this past week and stopped in on Wednesday to have a drink and decided right away that this would be the place to celebrate my birthday the next night! The atmosphere, service, food and drinks were amazing! We will definitely be back during our next visit to Beaufort!

This was so GOOD! Probably my new favorite in the Lowcountry! I got the pork chop and my husband got the ribeye and bother were so delicious! It is noisy in the restaurant and was hard to hear each other, but the food was amazing! We will be back!

Beautiful atmosphere! Dishes were presented beautifully! Don’t miss out on the steak tartar or the rack of lamb!
Great variety on the wine menu! And we loved the playlist! Staff worked together and Alexis our host for the evening was a star!

Not sure how this place has so many stars. I would not consider it fine dining besides the pricing. Staff is nice, but environment is very loud (even when half the restaurant was empty). Crab cake was delicious. Salmon was decent and risotto was sour. Could have more versatility on the wine menu. Outside was nice and is probably pleasant when it’s warmer. Maybe I’m spoiled because of Charleston and Savannah’s fine dining scene. Probably wouldn’t return, but not awful.

This upscale restaurant has a large outdoor seating area with a fire pit that can accommodate large and small groups. The low country baked oysters were incredible – know there are only 5. There was a mishap with our waitress going home and a different waiter, Chris, saved the day. The steak and green beans were cooked well. We were surprised with a delicious cheesecake at the end of our dinner.

This is a nice sized restaurant with a river view in downtown Beaufort South Carolina. It is a little older but clean and neat and the noise level is where you can easily converse with the person across from you. Nice choices of food including sushi, so plenty to pick from. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Good wine list as well and nice long bar.

Amazing food and fine dining experience. My husband and I decided to try out saltus and we weren’t disappointed. Our server was Hayden, she was attentive and even helped me pick out a wine to go with my dinner. I had the Blackened Dorado which was cooked perfectly. My Husband had the Delmonico with truffle butter added and the mashed potatoes. He says its one of the best steaks he has had. We will definitely be returning and recommend everyone try out Saltus.
