I like Saltgrass but I was very disappointed by this location. We went around 3pm on a Tuesday and there was no wait to be seated, the hostess initially tried to sit us at a table that was not clean, however our waitress was great! The bread came out warm and fresh. We started our meal off with the spinach artichoke dip, it was good and the chips were warm and crispy but I’d definitely get it without the cold flavorless sour cream they put on top. The pomegranate mojito is delicious and they definitely don’t hold back on the liquor. The soups here are terrible! The loaded potato soup was an off-putting texture and flavorless, I sent it back and had a house salad instead. The tortilla soup was slightly better, I would avoid the soup all together and get a salad with your meal because the Cesar dressing and ranch were tasty. The chicken Laredo had mushy over cooked onion and peppers and the chicken was bland, however I did enjoy the feta and my steamed broccoli. The chicken fried steak meal was average. The blackened redfish meal was cooked and seasoned well. For the money you spend per meal I would recommend trying another location.

Had a pretty so-so experience. Arrived at 2 pm. There were two groups ahead of us- one of 8 and one of 5. Moving tables there must be a challenge because it took her over 10 minutes to seat both groups and then get to us. Plenty of servers just standing around could have tried to help.
I ordered the chicken and sausage platter from the lunch menu. Both were moist and well cooked. I also had a baked potato that was overcooked (mushy) and not super hot. I assumed it had been sitting around a while.
My wife had soup and salad. The soup was a potato soup that neither of us liked. It was like a rough puree of a baked potato and had an unpleasant consistency. Her salad had a pretty good percentage of lettuce past its prime (kind of brownish).
Our server was off and on attentive (like he came back and asked how our food was immediately after serving the food and before we had tasted it but then was gone the rest of the time).
I’d say there are much better casual steakhouses around, including one right next door.

So it was supposed to be a 20min wait but it end up being no wait. That was a huge plus. The menu items are expensive but quality is top notch. Me and the wife shared a sampler that was $39. Plenty of food to fill us. It came with a fried shrimp jalapeño popper, ribs, and queso and chips. Saltgrass was not our original choice to go get food but we are happy we did go here.

”Ryan was our server and he did a fantastic job. The experience was very good from the moment we were seated until we paid the check. Saltgrass always has a great atmosphere, and this location is no exception. Several of the employees checked on us and helped us throughout the night, making us feel truly welcome.
My wife and I both ordered the steak, and it was absolutely fantastic—perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly to our liking. It’s rare to find such consistent quality and service, but Ryan and the rest of the team nailed it. We will definitely be back soon. 5 stars!”

Saltgrass Steak House on Cinema Ridge in San Antonio delivers an unforgettable, scratch-made dining experience. The juicy, buttery center-cut top sirloin was cooked to perfection, the beef brisket tacos were packed with bold flavor, and the smoked mac-n-cheese was pure comfort. Grilled shrimp and creamy mashed potatoes rounded out an amazing meal. Big shoutout to Danny for outstanding service and to Chris the manager for making sure we felt truly cared for. Went here for a family birthday celebration. The food was good and atmosphere was nice. It breaks my heart so say service was very lacking. At one point all the waiters disappeared leaving our party needing drink refills and other minor requests. It took me flagging someone down to get more water for my wife. While my requests were fulfilled and our meals came, my 83 year old Dad didn’t get his meal and had to ask the waiter for his food after everyone else had been served. They brought out his meal out 20 minutes later when everyone was already done. Who wants to eat alone? No one does. It is ridiculous that this happened at such a popular chain steak house restaurant. I can certainly say this incident is due to poor management and training and should be address accordingly. To add insult to injury, the waiter who messed up the order said it would be nice if we could give him a piece of cake. It took everything I am not to blow up and make a scene. I won’t be coming back to Saltgrass ever, there are plenty of other better serviced restaurants in San Antonio.

Music was a little too old cowboy. Bathrooms stunk like sewage really bad. Service was slow, hostess toll us to our table, no server for 10 minutes. We finally called a waiter over and he did a great job. Food was excellent. Spinach artichoke dip, ribeye steaks and bread.

First timer at Saltgrass and I was not let down. At first I was getting Gaston drinking at that pub vibes from Beauty and the Beast. I had the spinach and strawberry salad with Brussel sprouts and grilled chicken. Bruh. Pure heaven. It wasn’t the food that made this experience 5/5 it was our amazing server Ryan. He made us feel like old friends and made sure we, including everyone around us was taken care of. The entire staff was welcoming! Hit up this Saltgrass.

Steaks were cooked perfectly! The service was great ! I did not expect the range rattlers to be so huge ! Definitely had enough to take home leftovers. I would recommend coming during happy hour too!
